How people can actually sit there and say they see nothing wrong with this is beyond me.

Aries was out of line here. Whether he is playing a heel or face is irrelevant, he could have easily grabbed the microphone from her and ran her down on the mic like a typical heel would have until she got it right but as always he has to be a d*ck and make Christy Hemme feel as uncomfortable for it as possible on TV. She made a mistake, I'm sure Aries has made plenty of mistakes in his life, heck the guy is keeping Bobby Roode down from his true potential which is a major mistake. Say what you want but he was well out of line for that and I hope immediate action is taken against him. He may be a great athlete and an amazing wrestler but that doen't entitle him to any form of special treatment, he violated the Spike TV policy and I hope he pays the price for it and I'm actually saying that as an Austin Aries fan believe it or not. Trust me when I say this, one day his attitude is going to get him into some trouble that he can't get himself out of and it will cost him big time.

It's wrong labeling then. As you said it's offensive. That doesn't change no matter what term you label the situation.

Thank you! Someone finally understands my point. People are blowing up the situation out of proportion in my opinion. Making it out as if he's abused the women multiple times... when he hasn't.

It kinda makes me sick how you guys think this was ok. I understand that he's a "heel" but he shouldn't have stuck his crotch in her face.

You're in a crowded movie theater and have to take a leak, as you are passing people in your row your crotch ends up in someone's face or vice versa, you going to file a claim for sexual harassment..

Thats no where near the same thing. AA intentionally did it it was no accident

Yes it is, he climbed up to make his taunt and his crotch was eye level to her face, our crotches end up in theater goers faces.. Intentional or accident same scenario and we should be held accountable for our actions. We didn't make no gyrating actions to insinuate anyone to suck it nor did he..  If his obscene gestur is punished we all should be.

Hemme could've ducked or shoved him off the tb and refused to do her job the rest of the night if she was "really offended" which would make this fall under harassment. She ran to Twitter to "claim she was upset but yet still is there doing her job".  Cue the oh so controversial work to get ratings for TNA....

It could be harassment only if Christy didn't want it to happen. It was entertaining, but if it wasn't planned, then it does go against regulations.

That's why this is a cheap ploy to get ratings..TNA tapes their episodes ahead of time why was this left in the broadcast when they could've re-did the whole intro?..Hmmmmm

Christy Hemme/Austin Aries Update: Aries Fined, Apologizes

christyaries2-e1368662029202.png

The incident of sexual harassment by TNA star Austin Aries on Knockout Christy Hemme has already prompted messages of disapproval from TNA President Dixie Carter and Spike TV, and now it’s reached the front page of TMZ.

The celebrity news website has dug into the story and found that Austin Aries has been given a “severe fine” as punishment for the act. The amount of the fine is unknown, nor is it known if action was taken before or after Spike TV made its displeasure known.

In addition, TMZ reports that Aries has reached out to Christy personally to apologize, and that she is satisfied with his apology.

If what TMZ is reporting is true, this could signal the end of this particular controversy.

That's BS. Its a pre-taped episode they could of cut the incident, and I'm sure Hemme wouldn't want Aries to be "severely fined" if she accepted his apology.

Aries did what he should and apologized , as it wasn't with bad intention . I don't think he should be severily fined if all was fixed backstage .

So why they didn't cut it ? I think of 2 options : or they didn't gave it importance or they wanted to make controversy . Guess Hemme isn't satisfied with the apologize ...

They wanted this segment to be shown no matter what to get everyone talking and it worked, now they can do their own Be A Star anti-bullying thing.. Make Aries look like the asshole= check... Hemme looks like victim= check.. Get people piss= Check.

The fact that you think it's the same scenario is kinda ridiculous. HE DID IT ON PURPOSE. In movies theaters you are not intentionally putting your crotch in someones face. YES it happens but not on purpose.

Both are obscene gestures accident and/or on purpose thou, that's what everyone is missing it was an obscene gesture and the fact people want him to be charged with sexual harassment are the ridiculous ones, thus why I said if he gets charged we should be charged because we have all made them in a movie theater or similar scenarios

The fact that he did it on purpose is the reason he is being charged

Then we all should that's what I am saying, not one of us in here has not made an obscene gesture to someone.. Try this you are out with a bunch of buddies, drunk and trying to pick up a one night fling..You get rejected then you dx crotch chop the girl and say a few verbal insults but yet no charges filed, why is that we did it on purpose, being drunk is no excuse we still know/knew what we're doing.

Here's another one, male strippers putting their junk in ladies faces..Why are they not getting charged.. Oh wait it's their job, Aries' job is to be a heel.

I think it really depends on the girl/person you do it too. As far as male strippers are concerned it's there job and yes AA is a heel but his job is not to put his crotch in girls faces. It was inappropriate not sure why you dont think it was?

I never said it wasn't. I agree it was obscene but it's been blown way out of proportion and it sounds like he tried to rape Hemme the way a lot of the reports are going. A simple apology would've been suffice and maybe a fine, the thing is TNA wanted this to get out for ratings and be plastered all over as it has been. Like I said they could have edited this whole scene out but I think they are gonna use this to break up Roode & Aries and maybe turn Bobby face in the end ;)

Christy laughed the whole thing off on TV, and said (literally) two words about it on social media. If there was real world damage done by Aries to Hemme, I didn't see it. Neither did Chavo Guerrero, who was actually there, and mentioned that she didn't seem at all upset backstage after the show.

This is why Aries is the best thing going in TNA... he's entertaining as hell.

Pisses me off that people crave for more edgier wrestling TV like it was back in the Attitude Era, but then when something like this happens they fly off the handle...

This x10000000000000. I didn't see anything wrong with this until I saw the backlash online and it absolutely blew my mind. When people were telling me about what happened I thought it was something else, I thought I was going to see a video of Austin Aries dry humping Christy Hemme's face. When I found out it was the entrance, I literally lol'ed. I remember when heels were allowed to be heels and didn't have to apologize for it. All he did was stand up in the turnbuckle, he didn't shove his genitals in her face - he simply stood up. To me it even looked like he didn't extend his groin all the way forward, but that might just be the way he stands. He could have shoved that shit in her face, he could have Val Venis'd the shit out of her. When it comes the TNA, this is probably one of the rather tame things. We've had Bully Ray spitting on people, you had Velvet and Angelina grinding the ropes with barely nothing on. C'mon now, this is what has everybody going? If that had been Borash in the corner, this wouldn't even be up for debate.

Well I still think he was way out of line for what he did but if he apologised to Christy Hemme personally and she was happy with it then it should have been dropped there and then. Spike TV really have no reason to fine him and I do think that's a little harsh especially if it was a large sum of money. I get they have a policy to work by but if Austin Aries apologised to the individual he offended and she accepted it, I see no problem with this incident now.
