This is the biggest mistake TNA can make with their already sinking company. How do you let the guy who basically IS THE face of TNA and IS the company leave? Huge mistake. This will bite them on the ass.

You all have to remember that it might not be their fault, for all we know AJ could be acting like a complete d*ck during these contract negotiations.

You really think AJ, their face, would be acting like that? I don't think so.

I wouldn't have thought so but you don't know for sure. We don't see what happens behind closed doors and neither do these dirtsheets which makes me believe he could have already signed a new contract and it's being kept top secret.

I don't think he'd be accepting other bookings if that was so.

True but didn't WWE do a similar thing with CM Punk to make it look more realistic? it may not be legit. I'm just saying I don't believe any of the dirtsheets right now and it wouldn't surprise me if there is more to this story than we currently know.

Is this part of the storyline? Or REAL?

According to PWInsider, AJ Styles' contract extension with TNA Wrestling will expire on December 16th, and as of now the two parties have not come to terms on a new deal. As we have been reporting for months, there is a dispute between Styles and TNA about how much money the former World Champion should be paid upon signing a new contract. TNA has already taped Impact Wrestling through January of 2014, and AJ's apparent last match will air weeks after his departure from the company. He is currently billed as the "real" TNA World Heavyweight Champion, so obviously they will be resolving that angle in the weeks to come, should they not decided on a last minute deal.

AJ is already taking on independent bookings, which would explain his being booked for a show in Illinois in February 2014, which we originally thought was a long-term continuation of his current TNA angle, where he visits other promotions defending the TNA World Championship.

At 36-years-old, he has been wrestling for TNA since 2002, working in the very first match of their very first weekly pay-per-view. He almost immediately became the company's first X-Division Champion, pioneering the division alongside the likes of Christopher Daniels, Jerry Lynn and Samoa Joe. In his tenure with TNA, he has won 16 championships, became the first Triple Crown and Grand Slam Champion, won a Bound for Glory series, and wrestled in the only 5-star match in TNA history, given out by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer.

It's real. AJ has been unhappy with his current situation for months and the two sides have been having a tough time negotiating a suitable contract for him. Whether he has secretly signed a new deal that nobody else knows about like CM Punk did has yet to be confirmed though. Apparently there are many others in the TNA locker room that are worried about their future as well because the cost cutting is the problem, they are also worried about their wages decreasing.

No shock Styles is out of TNA,  I wouldn't mind AJ going through the indies and putting over younger talent.Yep I wouldn't mind AJ doing that, he loves the business and respects it.Always willing to help guys look better than they ever could on their own.In my heart I want Styles in WWE but it's such a stretch, but in ROH and PWG yes please! Maybe if AJ gets some momentum, he still has enough in the tank to make a impact in WWE if wants to go there.

I see your point but this one seems more believable to me. Just my opinion.

I'm honestly excited to see this. If it allows him to reinvent his character and become an even better character.
