When it comes to member activities, who's the best at promoting activity, making suggestions, troubleshooting trails and errors, offering help, and/or reporting problems to the staff overall? If we plan on making people special and promoting them while demoting others...then we need a solid plan in action. I strongly urge everyone to put their best effort into giving nothing but their absolute best if he/she wants anything in life. For those that do not put forth the efforts required---expect demotions---simple as that. Life isn't much different, if we're going to improve than we need to continuously work on ourselves and set the example. No excuses, we're aware of the dire need to take care of issues and some things take precedence over others. We need to address who's the best based on numbers and/or quality of posts based on those averages. I'm making this topic to ensure that we all take a look at ourselves and at the people around us--staff picks for 2014 will be here before you know it and I'm seeing more people making a splash in SDH. The question, once again, who's the best around SDH when it comes to doing their part respectively based on averages?

We all have special gifts and I strongly believe that many people aren't recognized at the level that other members attain. It's quite obvious that we've had members here for some time that NEVER get recognition for teamwork and/or single contributions. SDH is a more suitable environment for the rest of us because of such members that establish themselves due to precious acts that collectively bring us together for one common goal. I wouldn't be honest with everyone if I'd say that people DIDN'T admit that they come here based on certain peoples existence in the forums. It's very obvious that some of us create massive waves (looking at SDH members, you can gather a lot of potential based on actions) and they deserve to be acknowledged and not forgotten for serving this forum. Take a look around, you'll see it for yourselves and you may agree with me or not.

It's a shame that we ignore the creators and their artistry for one thing. It's a whole other story that we don't push for more online gaming (this is not related to the tournament either but outside of a huge event....ONLINE GAMING IN GENERAL is not given the attention that it deserves and we give up fast because people aren't committed to playing online, etc.). Among a ton of other things that keep this forum going strong from beginning to end--we need to push for things to happen and stop complaining about DEAD ACTIVITY. If something interests you, make a topic about it or discuss it in another thread. I read people whine and complain that there's not enough activity but they aren't doing anything to rise above tough situations and put themselves on the map. Regardless if you're garnering the most views/replies or not, I've been here for ages quite similar to a handful of you, (you all know who you are) if you want change, be the driving force of change and DO IT. TALK IS CHEAP, DO IT.

I have permission to post this here:

Before you deleted your post in our last conversation, you mentioned something about your self-made videos. A racing game you posted a topic about had me thinking about life (think about the artistic way that time is fast forwarded when a camera is positioned in place on a city). The city life is going by so fast with all the repetitive things of everyday life going through it's daily grind (wash, rinse, repeat and it never ends) and people are hustling to get through the day with their activities, etc. I thought about this race and thought about life itself, how sad, our lives are like a giant race where everyone is locked into this race to reach the finish line. We're so consumed with trying to beat everyone else that we're losing track of our existence here on Earth. We miss everything that's passing by us, it's taken for granted and we're letting time pass us by without anything meaningful to accommodate our very consciousness. Where's the happiness in trying to be number one in a race that everyone tries to outperform the other and even then....we're still missing the entire point! "Sometimes, in life, it's not about how fast you're moving, it's about enjoying the ride."

I skimmed through this topic earlier and I must say that I'm surprised nobody has posted yet. Not only should we try our hardest to help, but we should also work as a team and help bring people in and make quality work together. It makes sense. Want a greater community? Use your current one.

How about we brainstorm here. I believe Rob told me, before randomly going AWOL, that I could do creations of the week/month. I always assumed he would come back and do it, but I believe that was my idea in the first place anyway and I don't see why I can't. I'll try to start that soon although I am slightly busy as you've no doubt seen. Anybody else got ideas?

I have been busy as well, hence my streak of inactivity, but I have been doing my best lately to at least post in General Chat. :) I am going to be stepping it up.

Great post that was much needed RKHT and it makes a lot of sense. I read it a few days ago but forgot to post a reply. We as members truly hold the fate of the SDH in the palm of our hands, we're the ones that need to remain active to ensure this community remains active. I feel I'm as active as I possibly can be, SDH is my number one priority as far as online forums are concerned and I use that to post everyday as often and as insightful as I can.

I hope I'm one of those members you feel is making a positive impact on SDH, I know Andy realises I want SDH to be the best forum out there and he's said that to me before and it's 100% true, I can't do it alone but hopefully we can all step up our game and make things happen on here. I definitely want to progress and move on from my current position on here and join the staff team so I'll do everything in my power to make that happen. We should definitely all strive for the same thing because that's how SDH continues to grow and remains as great a forum as it possibly can be.

Great topic Mr. RKHT ;), you always give us the best reads. As some of you may have noticed my activity has been lacking a bit in the last 2 months or so. But now I am back full force and SDH as always will be my priority as Online "life" goes ;) I will do my best, like I did last year, to help SDH grow even more and become even bigger :D

As has been said already, great topic, as always. I understand the concern you have for this community and I highly respect that. I can't speak for everyone, but my own best judge would be myself and I'll admit that I haven't been nearly as active as I'd have wanted to be as of late. Reason for that being, I've been super busy (that will continue for another week or so), and coupled with that, I've been ill for a while (still am), so it's been a frustrating few days for me which has made it hard for me to focus on anything or entertain myself in any possible way.

However, henceforth (or at most in about 10 days when my workload wears off a bit), I'll try my hardest to be as consistent as I can. I really like it here and would love to help this community howsoever I can. :)

I'm sharing this with you all (thank you very much for your feedback everyone) and just for the record--it doesn't get any more real than this:

"This is something I've noticed (with the exception of you and me) : every time a thread is made, NOBODY talks to each other. They simply go into the thread, post their own opinion (which most often doesn't contribute sh*t to the topic because it's not anything particularly stimulating), and then they never return to that topic again. People don't TALK to each other on here, they don't discuss, they don't exchange ideas. Caws.ws is a f*cking sh*t-hole but at least on there I had some elaborate discussion and exchanges. On here, people just aren't interested. I mean for f*cks sake, do you know what the most popular thread I have ever seen on here was? It was that time Andy was supposed to join this SDH-forum together with some other dudes wrestling forum, but that dude p*ssied out and the mergure didn't happen. Andy made a thread to tell people about it, and in that thread I saw people writing these LOOOOONG ELABORATE WALLS OF TEXT, and these were people who NEVER posted long paragraphs otherwise! But now they had loads of sh*t to say, but NOTHING of it was of any f*cking value!!! It was literally just "I like this forum lol" and petty forum beef. And every time I see how absolutely little people on here care about having a conversation, I just get pissed off. This forum doesn't have anything to offer me whatsoever, the only thing I get out of it now is talking to you. That's it."

This member is one of the brightest people we have in this entire forum, read the quote and learn from it.

That's got to be Teryo who wrote it...

As for the topic, I appreciate you making it RKHT, and I think it's one of your best written threads. I shall keep coming back to it in times of low motivation.

Sorry, my post came off like I was disregarding your opinion, I agree with you to a certain extent.

It's strange that you stated that nobody discusses the topic in most threads, I hadn't noticed that at all. I won't say you're wrong though. I've always been one to hear other people's opinion and discuss it or argue.

One thing I do find silly though, is how some people will not post until others do, and it's not something that needed a post to be made first. I believe, RK, that DopeIntentions guy mentioned this in a status update and you thought he was targeting people, but I believe he was correct and to be honest it hurts activity.

I'd post more if this place was more active and if half if not more of the topic weren't on that other WWE forum as well.

You know that was a great read and I enjoyed it. Even enjoyed Teryo's quote. Personally when I first came to this site it was an escape from caws.ws and I didn't know what to expect from this site. I only knew three members on here that came from caws.ws and that's Lyriqz, Broski and Dazman. So my goal was pretty simple, talk about wrestling and video games and try not to get into trouble like I did on the last site. When I first got here everything was going smooth and it was a nice transition. But then me and Dazman had a huge falling out, and I'm talking huge. And that lasted for a few months actually. But eventually we got to the point where we actually joke on this site now and are friendly. And I never thought that would occur. I've had my share of issues with certain users on here but I can see from their point why our issues may have started. I can come off as an asshole at times. But in all actuality Teryo has a point, no one truly talks to each other anymore. We may quote each other here and there but it's most drop in with our opinion and leave the thread. And you know what I really missed about the other site? We would all gather in a PPV discussion while it was happening live and talk it about it all. That seems to be dead on here but maybe we're all so focused on the PPV that we don't discuss it live. I think a lot of us are capable of having meaningful and engaging conversations. But the downfall is when our favorite diva or superstar is well liked by them asses on this site and then we're labeled trolls or people who don't know and or appreciate "real wrestling" or "pure wrestling". Once our favorite superstar or diva is bashed, all hell seems to break loose and we lose sight of the initial discussion. Sorry for the random and jumbled rant but I just wanted to express my view on that.
