sure you can have a list of things you don't like and in the sense of fair play you shouldn't do certain things
but you can't say to someone
"I want someone to play with but you can't do this and this and this and this and this and this."
and then expect it to be fun.

personally I think some people here are asking to much, you can't dictate to others how to play their game.
sure you can have a list of things you don't like and in the sense of fair play you shouldn't do certain things
but you can't say to someone
"I want someone to play with but you can't do this and this and this and this and this and this."
and then expect it to be fun.
Some people play the way you play, other dont. Some people here play a certain way, and are trying to find others that play that way too. So in essense, their fun comes from whatever their standards are. I myself like playinga certain way, and if i play someone wh doesnt I either try to continue playing how I do, or just let the person pinor submit me. But to be real, I play the game in respect to WWE and hate playing ppl that dont understand what that means. Which is 1 reason why I stick to a group of people I can trust to uphold that standard.*~

so let me just clear this up, so what yall are saying is that u want your opponent to show mercy on you. i understand what yall are saying bout doing the same move over and over
Well "I'm" not saying that at all. Im saying that I'd rather have a scripted match without it being litteraly scripted. Basicaly speeking...if your Morrison, I'd expect you to play just like him and not do anything he would do..or try not to. Or if your Orton I'd expect you to play like him. Im not saying everyone has to do that, Im just saying thats how I preffer to play, and if you dont then what can I do about it other than accept it and be bored out of my mind?
And on another note, I dont even run or do running moves much at all unless the time is right...and even that varies depending on who Im playing as. I dont even use the toe kick much either, maybe 1nce or 2ce a match but thats all. Theres ppl that use it when ever theyre about to get grappled as a compensation for missing the reversal...which is annoying. But thats just how I feel about it.*~
As far as playstyles go,i have no problem if someone attacks me aggressivly as long as they mix up some moves and show me some style in the process. If i see you aren't gonna spamm the same move over 200 times, you got all the room in the world to get your spots in on me.Just at least show me a bit of respect and let me get in a few moves is all i ask for.Beautiful match last night iL o IK ii Ta.Thanks!!!
You too, anytime =).*~

Same here. & I don't expect anyone to show mercy on me at all. As I said I prefer competitive matches, but that's just me.

and I do play like my character cause my character is me. I try to make her look like me and of course
I play with my own personality I like to see myself as a tough, aggressive person and my character is the same
I'll get in there and fight you, true brawler style. but I like to grapple and do submissions and some technical stuff
but also I would consider myself opportunistic if have have a chance to do a running move being it a running grapple or strike I'm not going to pass it up. Also I show mercy to people I won't pull their arm up when pinning but if I knock them down I'll do a couple of stomps or a grapple and then back off and give them a chance to get up.
and true if someone is doing nothing but spears and headbutts thats not good and yes I won't play with them again
I have a "kick list" that I have marked IDs down on but if you do say a spear here and there in a match then I wouldn't consider that unfair. Also you can't have a scripted match online, that is more of a random play area
people are going to do whatever they want you can't have the "ok I'm going to toss you here, but you reverse it with this and then I'm going to do that" where is the fun in that its better to be random and unpredictable
what happen to "anything can happen in the WWE!" if you have everything plotted out that takes away the fun.
but yes like I was going to say everyone does play differently but you can't expect people to do anything
you say thats what i said earlier becasue if you start putting down rules like you can't do any running strokes or grapples. You can't run at any time period. You can't do more then 2 strikes at a time. You can't...ect.
if you start doing stuff like that people aren't going to want to play with you.
but anyway whatever.

I guess that was aimed at me so I'll put it in a way so you can understand. You CAN have scripted like matches online...because I've had them. Does that mean we're telling eachother what to do and when to do it? NO. Its more of a match/wrestling psychology. If your a wrestler, and you just do random things that are completely out of sync with the match..then you'd get fired. Just like online, If you do a bunch of non sense just to get the upper hand, expect your opponent to do the same..thus ending up in a lame-ass match. Its just the way most ppl like to play....or should I say very few since thats how many ppl online actually play that way.
I have an original caw too, and I play like I would if I were to be a wrestler.....I "wrestle". I treat the match as if it were a wrestling match. I go through my entire moveset and dont even look to win..just to put on a show, but thats just how "I" play. If you or anybody else doesnt then all the power to you, I cant change that. You can ask anybody that has ever played me or with me in 2010...I dont even have a mic so it'd be impossible to actually tell a person what i want them to do throught the match. But I dont have a problem with the way YOU play or ppl that play your way, because ultimately I only play ppl I know can work a match, even if they aren't my friends. Even me and the topic starter were starngers at 1 point, but still carried out a realistic match without knowing eachother. And if I do happen to play someone that doesnt play like me, I'll just do my best to keep playing how I play...or just leave and find somebody else that has a common sense for working matches.
But I guess thats what seperate the majority from the minority online.*~

Wow I'm seeing more PS3 players here than anything. But yea man I definitely feel what you're saying. People have different viewpoints on what they consider fair/cheap/lame. Which is why you'll never hear me refer to myself or my clan as being "fair". You can be "fair" simply by not utilizing any exploits/glitches, but that doesn't necessarily make you a fun person to play by any means. So the word "fair" is often used out of context.
EXACTLY. Usually everyone sais/thinks they play fair, when you ask them what "fair" is in their views, they tell you with no prob....but when you play them your like wtf. I mean its a video game...a wrestling video game. It should be fun for everybody, and by everybody I mean you and the ppl you "choose" to play. I can have fun playing the way I do with a few ppl here and not worry about them doing something cheezey just to get the upper hand and win the match. Which is why I limit myself to only those people.
You'd be surprised how many GREAT players dont even bother with this game anymore because everyone uses the word fair in all kinds of different contexts.*~
