Ok show , too many promos and some matches weren't as good as should ...

 

Good part is that Bully looks to think he has the power to do what he want with Aces & 8s , and that gives the feeling the group will die soon ... Bad part is that Mr Anderson seems to be turning face , and let's remember how he were used before joining the band ...

 

Sad that just for a point my boy Daniels doesn't make it for the final 4 as I don't really think he will win the Gauntlet , but at least went so far . Also Aries vs Daniels was the best match of Impact , and even saw again the Last Rites .

 

I can't stand that ODB got the title shot ...

 

Sting gets another title shot after loose at Slammiversary , meaning that he couldn't fight for the World Heavyweight Championship again ???

I liked the rest of the show though. The ODB/Gail Story was well booked imo and had good matches but I HATE ODB.

Well, maybe I misunderstood it then. To me, it sounded like he meant "Also defend the title against Sting."

You might be right then but that's how I saw it come across and I don't think even TNA are dumb enough to put Sting back in a title match against the guy that beat him and forced that froze out of the title picture rule on him. Besides Bully Ray needs something to do at No Surrender.

^Agree with the article , just forgot to add "Where is Abyss and the Television Championship ?" for put all the mistakes of the show . Tag Team division was even more dead thanks to the BFGS , since we missed Bad Influence and LAX 3.0 (even though Chavo & Hernandez aren't interesting as a team , the division needs teams) and TNA left us with just two teams : Gunner & Storm (that hsn't defend the titles yet ...) and Bro Mens (even the name of this awful team is a botch , and while I kind of like the Robbie's mic use but not really in ring , Jessie is just the worst wrestler in TNA , in everything !) ... WWE has better TTD now !!! X Division is Manic , King (long since he appeared) , Sabin (who is not fighting on it for some reason ...) , Ion (still in hospital) , Petey (contract per appearence) and Dutt (contract per appearence) , they didn't hired Marasciulo and they released York and Ryan ... Knockouts Division is James , Kim , ODB , Sky (out for some reason ...) and Taryn (pregnant) , and they released Tara ... Is a mess , with only the main division really used properly .

From the article Andy shared : "Hulk kept mispronouncing words (Aces of Eights, brother!), giving wrong information (Sting will challenge you for the title... this week!), and getting off track throughout.". Guess we both were right and Hogan botched it .

So we had Styles vs Daniels at the end of the gauntlet ... Honestly , it would've been more emotional if the showdown was in a match with Daniels in the final 4 or actually make them have a more epic brawl instead of Styles dominating and Daniels not hitting a move .

Wes & Garett better not get involved with the Tag Team Championship ...

Very drab edition of Impact this week, just overall very boring.

Well I must say No Surrender was without question the best episode of IMPACT all year. EVERYTHING delivered in a big way. That Last Man Standing match for the World title was one of the most brutal I've ever seen and Mr. Anderson sold the beatdown Bully Ray gave him extremely well. He looked like he was actually dead after that brutal spear through the table. (and I've never seen a table break like that, it looked nasty) Great job from both those guys and the match was very well delivered in my opinion. While the winner of the Bound For Glory series may have been obvious from the start, did those matches from No Surrender deliver or what? I've never seen the Styles Clash delivered backwards from the top rope like that before but it looked awesome, the suplex exchanges into the Brainbuster and Last Chancery combo that AJ escaped from was another great highlight, their first match was better but that one sure didn't disappoint by any means. Roode and Magnus was nothing anymore special than their previous BFG series match but that one could have gone either way because we knew AJ was going to win no matter who he faced in the finals but it had the unpredictability factor and I'm glad they went with Magnus. I'm a huge fan of Bobby Roode but Magnus needs it a lot more right now. The final match was pretty good and it was great to see the Spiral Tap make a return that gave AJ Styles the last win. Magnus definitely became the breakout star of the BFG Series this year despite finishing in second place. Overall I can't fault IMPACT at all this week, probably the best overall weekly show from any company this year.
