It was real eased WWE 14 is going to be there last game. I know everyone wants them to stop making the games but i don't like the idea of another company making the wrestling games. Oh well. Its disspointing but its gonna happen. I reckon WWE games will go to S**t after THQ stops making them… IMO

Im afraid for the future of WWE Games...

That's half the excitement for me, it's not knowing who will take over. But there is no reward without taking risks.

But then there are stupid risks too, so with that said, I hope whoever takes over--knows how to publish a good pro wrestling game.

Koch Media, or Deep Silver for gaming, is known best for co-publishing Catherine, being in charge of the European release, and is also known for creating Dead Island.

Oh !@#$%^&* I own Dead Island & I've played Catherine. Ok, cool. I still think Rocksteady (Batman Arkham games) should get Saints Row.

EA Looks like there going to win tbh.

I don't see the others going for wwegames tbh.

As wwe would fit hopefully with it's EA Sports Section.

They messed up wcw,but you figure after enough attempts.

EA will crack the corect formula of FTW.

Or buy out Yukes as well and they can continue on whatever planed.

South Park Digital Studios has filed a complaint that the game South Park: The Stick of Truth cannot be auctioned along with THQ's assets without the studio's approval.

According to a complaint recently filed with Delaware bankruptcy court, the original contract had South Park Digital Studios providing a license to use the series and characters in a game to be developed by Obsidian and published by THQ. As the intellectual property holder, South Park Digital Studios claims that it is not THQ's decision to auction the licensed game.

South Park Digital Studios claims that it has the contract gives it the right to reclaim the license, provided it pays THQ back for the full amount it has invested into the game.

The studio also claims that THQ still owes $2.275 million (£1.436 million) in defaulted payments.

THQ responded with its own court filing, claiming that because THQ was given an exclusive license, it is still within its rights to auction that license with its assets.

The bankrupt publisher also claims that its debts to South Park Digital Studios have already been satisfied, providing additional documents to the court to that effect.

THQ filed for bankruptcy last month, and is selling all company assets, including game intellectual properties and studios, in an auction.

THQ has previously said that there will be no reduction in staff at any of its studios during the sale, and that there will be no change in any of its current in-development titles.

South Park: The Stick of Truth, along with Company of Heroes 2 and Metro: Last Light, are all still scheduled for release in early 2013 as previously planned, though it now appears that the auction may impact the games after all.

All bids for the auction were due Tuesday, January 22) A sales hearing will be held on Wednesday, January 23, announcing the results.

Nothing has been confirmed so far, but the latest rumor states that EA has picked up the WWE license.

Not sure if EA is good for making WWE games. The MMA game they made to rival THQ's UFC was terrible. I guess we'll have to see.

It'd be better for whoever gets the license to also acquire Yukes. Also, I'd much rather trust EA, a company that made at least 1 wrestling game, more so than a company that has never done it before. As much as I love 2K, they have no wrestling game experience  and as much as I'm wary of EA, they made there wrestling game in the land before time, who knows how much better they can make one now? All i'm afraid of is there DLC practices.

Ultimately, this is the most important matter, I don't care who picks it up, but do better than THQ, and I'm happy.

I'm not sure why everyone is heralding EA as the savior? I had totally forgotten, but they had done Mayhem and Backstage Assault - and those two games came out around the same time as WWF No Mercy; we all know which game of the three was better.
