Sam Shaw, Christian York, Taylor Hendrix and Joey Ryan have been released by TNA Wrestling in their latest cost-cutting maneuvers.

All the named talents were participants to TNA's Gutcheck challenge

Madison Rayne announced that her contract with TNA Wrestling has expired and from the looks of it she will not be re-signed to the company. Here is the statement she issued on her Twitter account:

"My contract w/ TNA has ended. I want to thank you all for the constant love & support and PROMISE you I will be back in the ring again soon! Huge thank you to @TNADixie and the entire @IMPACTWRESTLING family for giving me my dream job ) I'll see y'all again soon!!"

Rayne was employed with the company dating back to 2009. Lately she has been away from the ring because she is pregnant

Dixie Carter announced that Destination X will feature talents from the past, present & future of the X Division.

The event will take place on July 18th in Louisville, KY and will air exclusively on SpikeTV. Dixie is taking suggestions on who the fans would like to see appear at the event via her twitter page.

As noted earlier, TNA has released several talents from the company. We can now confirm that Crimson can be added to that list of wrestlers that are no longer working for TNA.

Crimson was just brought back to television a few weeks ago. He was signed with the company back in 2010 and initially debuted with a long-running undefeated streak. The streak was ended at the 2012 Slammiversary pay-per-view with a loss to James Storm.

That updated list of released talents so far today include: Sam Shaw, Christian York, Taylor Hendrix, Madison Rayne, Joey Ryan and Crimson

Joey Ryan and Christian York were the two better gut check winners, quite surprised to see them released. Hope they can all find somewhere else to wrestle.

Looks like TNA will never be able to build a solid mid card division since they decide to release two good future mid carders here. They might as well not even have the Television belt.

Well, Atleast theres JPW And ROH. Theres were the guys can get a job. Hell, I Think WWE should cash in this opportunity and sign Christian York to get the mid card division good again.

What is the point of Gut Check if you fire wrestlers from it

The reason why TNA decided to release several talents is attempt to help cut costs. Talents that were released, were being paid a monthly guarantee with an additional fee when they were booked for TNA events. The company felt that those talents cut, were not being used regularly, so there was no need to keep them held under contract.

There has been a lot of cost-cutting talk within the company ever since the company decided to take Impact on the road, including the departures of different executives in TNA.

Several wrestlers have also been grumbling about pay coming in late, with one talent claiming he has heard stories of talents being paid two months behind according to PWInsider.

- Sam Shaw has not been released from TNA Wrestling. We apologize for that error.

The only one that has really upset me is Madison Rayne because she is my second favourite female wrestler right now so that's been a crushing blow. On the flip side I am so happy to see the "Generic Ginger" (Crimson) and Joey Ryan gone, they were two of the most untalented wrestlers TNA have ever had and I'm so glad to see the back of them. I don't care for any of the Gut Check winners that didn't debut because we didn't see anything from them other tham Christian York but he was no major name. Now if only they would release Robbie E and Jesse Godderz, the TNA roster would be perfect.

We can see that they fired guys like Christian York or Joey Ryan , but seeing other way , guys like Alex Silva or Sam Shaw are still under contract , thing that makes this even worse ...

Going to miss Madison Rayne though , was looking forward for her to return in the future ...

As noted earlier, TNA release several talents, most of them Gutcheck participants. Taeler Hendrix wrote the following on her Twitter account about her release from the company:

"Fans I'm not mad. It was a decision I made. Be happy for the direction I choose- I #DareToBe Revolutionary & now I can do that for my future

TNA announcer Taz addressed his status with the company following reports that his contract expired last weekend. Here is what he wrote:

"I'm very proud to announce that I've re-signed w/TNA Wrestling!! #Lovemyhome"

Former TNA wrestler Joey Ryan addressed his release from TNA. Here is what he wrote on Twitter:

"I just want to thank @Lagana & @TheRealAlSnow for the opportunities provided & thank @EBischoff & @HulkHogan who were my biggest supporters."

"Now free to work anywhere. Contact joeyryan@hotmail.com if interested. Also support me by buying a shirt at http://www.prowrestl...es.com/joeyryan Please RT"

Madison Rayne, who had her TNA contract expire this week, has been tweeting about how she will be back in the future, likely after she gives birth some time.

- As noted on Wednesday, Taeler Hendrix tweeted that she asked to be released from her contract. Apparently this is true as she was offered the same deal she had been under but turned it down and let it expire. The other talents named were indeed released.

- Regarding reports of talents being paid late, apparently it's office workers also and not just TNA wrestlers. A source says it would "surprise you greatly" at some of the talents who are being paid late.

- TNA's Bruce Prichard has been making a play for former WWE star MVP to come in. If he does sign, he won't be able to use the MVP name. MVP has been trying to pitch a reality show on prison life and being in TNA could open doors to Spike TV for the project.
