Back in April of this year after getting a copy of 2010 and playing it for a bit
and not really enjoying it as much as 09, I decided to write THQ a letter and
tell them what I thought of it. So below is that letter that submitted to the "Product Feedback"
section of the THQ website and please excuse any possible bad grammar

To Whom it may concern.

You want feed back I have some for you!
Now first off I love this series I have been playing
it since the very first smackdown on PSone and
second I am a female player so naturally my created
superstar is a woman. Now I have been using the same
character since the beginning I have recreated her
every year she went through a change here and there
be it costume, moves, hair, ect. and have had many
fun and exciting matches and games over the passed 10
years with my boyfriend and others.
Now the problem I'm writing you about puts an end to
all the fun and enjoyment because you totally screwed
up 2010! Now how exactly how did you screw it up?
well let me ask you this how am I suppose to play
with my male friends both online and off if you turn
off the girls VS. boys? How am I suppose to fight
them if I can only have matches against other girl
characters?
For example If you are the only girl in a room of
like 4-5 guys they aren't going to be all girls in a match
and I don't want to always play a guy. It was better in 09
when which i'm still playing cause I can play with my
friends online and off because I have like 7 online
female friends and over 40+ male ones and do you think
all the guys are going to play as girls in 2010? I
don't think so.
Now you might be thinking "Why doesn't she just play
as a male character in 2010" or "why not just do
Mixed Tag matches in 2010?" well first off I do use
my boyfriend's character from time to time but if I'm
just going to use a guy character then that defeats
the purpose of having my own. On the back of the
SvR2010 case it says and I quote:
"It's your world now"
it does not say "It's your world now,but only if your
a guy" and second I have been doing mixed tags far
before your Brilliant Idea (and I do use the term
loosely) of including the mix tag option and you
even screwed that up by your instant and automatic
DQ. If a person of the opposite gender strikes the
other as in if I hit a guy I get DQed and vise versa
who thought this was a good idea? Now I know that is
the way it is on WWE programing boys fight the boys
and girls fight the girls and I'm all for the realism
of the game but then again it is just a game if you
want to do stuff like that keep it confined to the
Story/Road to Wrestlemaina Mode.
In career as well as VS./Exhibition and online play
I want to fight who ever I want in whatever match I
want!! If I want my female character to face down
the Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell I want the option
to do so.
If I want my female character to face Batista in a
Steel Cage I want the option to do so!!
as well as TLC,Ladder Matches and King(or maybe
Queen)of the Ring.
I want my female character to be able to do anything
the guys can and fight the guys while doing it! If
you are going to do a SvR 2011 you should make
everything above possible if you want my and to an
extent my friends continued support of this series.
I'd say your best series innovation: Custom Music
second best would have to be the ability to display
custom entrances online(2010).
your worst Idea: Making it impossible for Divas to
fight Superstars. No boys VS. girls makes me sad :D
Second worse: The stamina system I hated it ever
since it was introduced and we always turn it off anyway.
Also the reversal system in 2010 is near impossible.
True a one button reversal is a great idea...If it worked!
I find the 2 button one in 09 works better then the
one button in 2010.
So basically that's it you screwed it up and made it
less fun then it was before. Everything else is 2010
is pretty good now if you can combine 09 & 2010 and
add the "girls created or otherwise can do anything
the boys can do and fight the guys while doing it" It
will be probably the best of the series.
until then I'm going back to playing 2009.

well that's it, will they listen to me? I don't know. but it would be nice if they did.
also feel free to comment if you like.

The only thing i dont agree with what you wrote them was the (or Queen) of the ring part lol but other than that yeah i bet it must be annoying sometimes. I mean i hate mixed tag because of the dq and i dont have (and will nvr) use a female wrestler or caw (unless i have to in RTWM mode). Im glad you wrote them tho and bummer if they send you an automated email. But at the same time i know they know what we want. There sooooo many fans out there that write to them im sure they read em and throw em away. Not taking their side by any means but if they included everything we wanted, then it would make it hard for them to follow the series the next yr and thinking of new things is pretty hard.

Well the King (or Queen) of the ring would work depending on the gender
if a male character wins he would be crowned of course King of the Ring if a female
character wins they would be crowned Queen of the ring. you could probably even do a
tag tournament and be crowned King and Queen of the ring. and by doing so you would unlock
the special wrestling royalty entrance or whatever. Yup I feel the same why you do I'm just on the opposite side like I said I have access to a male caw but rarely use him cause i like using my own which is female. but do use male characters if people want to do like a cage match or Hell in a Cell or something like that but I would prefer not to becasue like I said if I'm just going to use male characters why even bother making one..? also I'm the same I did the RTWMs in 2010 and used Edge and Michaels cause I had to but the first one I did was the Mickie James one and I liked it for the most part and yes it does get very annoying sometimes I was saying to a female friend on PSN to day "god damn male dominated video games" lol and in career mode on 09 females don't have much choice we have the following match choices: A. Single B. Single with manager and C. Normal Tag
not much there and also I find it is harder to level up a Diva personally I think it takes twice as much effort to get a Diva's stats up then it does a Superstars
to get my character to were she is it took me about 170+ matches its like crazy to take so long. I don't know if they read them or not I hope they do and I know what you mean and I understand I'm just saying that is what I would like remember its just one persons opinion.

Thats cool. The only problem is that THQ does not give a shit about the players. We should stop buying SVR games then maybe they would make a better wrestling game...But why would they if everybody buys SVR games over and over again even if it sucks + getting worse and worse?I did not buy SVR2010 last year, most of the people should have did it.Money goes to THQ = No change I bet 2011 will be a lot worse than 2010

I never knew there were so many female players for the SVR seires until i got 2010. I think it would be nice to make something as equal to the female wrestlers. Just cause they dont do it on WWE doesnt mean it cant happen in a game.

Not that this matters right now but im actually studying to be a Game Designer, so hopefully in a couple yrs ill be working for THQ and you guys can blame me
 if something isnt right but if i were them i would actually ask fans what they would like to see. Pretty much say like "we will have a new feature for SVR2011 but from November 2010 to December 2010 we will have open polls and you the fans will pick the new feature" idk something like that so i could get more ideas for the game but also give fans what they want.

well that is what I was say in the letter near the end about continued support.
and I didn't really go out and out right buy it the copy I have was purchased second
hand and was like $30 the same as 09 and 08 the last one that was purchased at retail
was 06 i think. but still if i'm going to spend money on something I would like
to get the enjoyment out of it and I did like 2010 but there was some major problems
in it that took away from my full enjoyment of it I don't enjoy it as much as I
did the previous titles.

yup there are probably more then you think there is. There are people like me who make their gender known and then there are people who don't I know female players online and off that use very gender neutral names like "PowerPlay" or "raviousrevenge" stuff like that they don't sound very female but its true and the reason for it is cause they don't want to be bothered or harassed by guys you know blend in and no one will no the difference.
and also i like fighters i did the whole Mortal Kombat/Street Fighter thing on SNES
and PS2 and also like I said I was playing this series since the beginning.
and that's exactly what I was trying to say here:
"If a person of the opposite gender strikes the
other as in if I hit a guy I get DQed and vise versa
who thought this was a good idea? Now I know that is

That is a good idea I would take part in that.

I think the designers need to make it so you can either do one gender for a match, or cross gender. I think that would make everyone happy.

There are times where I like using divas. And when I do, I don't like 99-100 overalls CAWs joining my match.

I like stating my CAW up based on what their image is. High flyers get high speed, technical and submission(sometimes). And I give powerhouses high strike, grapple ect.. You get the picture.

Well I understand and its a good thing in a way, but not really what I do, I play with alot of ppl who are high in the stats
and are very good so I like to have a more rounded one where she is fast but strong, have a good level for technical and
I like submission and grapples you know a little bit of everything instead of just going for one or 2 things.

I was looking up something and I came across this:

Chyna was the first woman to enter the Royal Rumble, qualify for the King of the Ring tournament, and be the number one contender for the WWF Championship. In 1999, she became the first and only woman to hold the WWF Intercontinental Championship, which she held twice.

see... and if she would have won the King of the Ring tournament she would have technically be the Queen of the ring
I just want to be able to do the same. lol ;) ;)

LOL yeah I remember that and well don't you worry about me, I'm 100% female B) B)

and I do talk alot of smack in chat and through messages I don't have a mic which is kinda good in a way cause I'm a cussing machine! I do it alot while playing video games and don't want to get in trouble for cursing out some 8 year old
but I always I try my best to back up what I say. I'm the type of girl who doesn't back down. :P grrrr.
