TMZ has confirmed the rumors going around about Spike TV cancelling TNA. The report notes that Spike TV quietly let them know that they are not renewing their contract. They also noted that, according to multiple sources, Spike TV executives contacted TNA President Dixie Carter this week to break the news to her. She then informed members of her inner circle.

TNA’s current deal is said to run through October and it is not clear when Impact will stop airing on Spike. TMZ also noted that there is no bad blood and they gave TNA advance notice so they could shop around for a new TV deal.

Sound like bollocks or is this bad for mainstream wrestling?

That sucks, honestly. They were just starting to step their game up too. I hope they find a new deal. :(

I don't want to see any company end up in a situation like this. I hope TNA can get a deal.

Damn. I said this already, but it sucks. It's also hard to feel bad with the way they lied to Spike about Russo still being hired.

yeah i was gonna post about vince russo lol

According to F4WOnline.com, Dixie Carter seemed to give the impression to TNA Wrestling employees sometime last week that the company would be leaving SpikeTV on its own accord due to lack of promotion. However, other sources have claimed that’s not the case, and confirmed reports of SpikeTV telling TNA it would not be renewing its TV deal.

The decision reportedly came a few days after SpikeTV found out that Vince Russo was still working for TNA Wrestling in a consultant capacity, and apparently Spike has had issues with Russo in the past and made it clear to TNA they wanted nothing to do with him.

Better, I think TNA sucks.WWE is much more better and bigger than TNA.I don't understand why do people spend their time to watch TNA? But like everyone,I hope they find a new deal

People watch it in hopes of seeking a more edgy, uncensored-ish alternative to the WWE, as of recently things have been going downhill though.

If TNA ends, I don't think it'll have any impact on me whatsoever, because Dixie is the person who brought them into this mess in the first place. GFW, WWE, Japan and Ring Of Honor should be capitalising on this huge disposal of talent.

Just seems to be a bad business to be in at this time.

However, other sources have claimed thats not the case, and confirmed reports of SpikeTV telling TNA it would not be renewing its TV deal.

It isn't the end yet . They have to find a new TV channel who is interesed in them . If they don't find a deal , then that's worrying .

Well , they have some amazing talent like Austin Aries , Bobby Roode , Bully Ray , The Wolves ... Even thought they lost some names , they still deliver . I would also say for the Tag and X Division , but they aren't as good as they were in the past ...

With their current money situation, it doesn't seem likely. Maybe double J will get it back.

He's got GFW to deal with, he could have talent relocated to his promotion, it would be a great way to get things rolling.
