I'd love for it to be John Morrison.

Obviously the figure in the background doesn't symbolise anything about this, it's just meant to be a normal blacked out figure. If it did then it would be either Randy Orton or Low Ki judging by the head shape and ears. Orton is the MITB holder so I think it's pretty safe to rule him out lol and Low Ki isn't big enough for a promo like this built around him so I doubt it's Low Ki.

I thought Low Ki was retired.

You're right, but he didn't nix a return 100% when he said he would return with a "major group" ... 

Former Gut Check star "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce posted an interesting tweet earlier today, that may reveal him as a part of the new, cryptic August 1st promo.

Adam wrestled a Gut Check match for TNA back in April of this year, but was never used going forward. He does bare resemblance to the shaded figure in the video, though the tweet was posted before TNA put up the cryptic promo, so take this with a big grain of sand:
