Too bad they changed the controls since then. I absolutely loved the control setup of HCTP (and SYM). They were great and I got so used to them that I didn't even have to think about it when playing. My hands just did it. It was so easy to learn and get the hang of and it worked great!

To this day, I am still bummed they changed them.

I hope they put an alternate control setup in 2K14 that we can switch to that's similar to HCTP's. I remember SDvsRAW 2007 did this and I immediately switch the control setup and it made the game SO much better overall.

meh... Yes I liked HCTP but reversal were too easy to do (you just had to spam the reversal button).

Personally I like the 1 button for reversals, WWE '12 was perfect (It wasn't easy to reverse and If you are hurt badly it's even harder).

BUT when it comes to grappling my favorite control setup was probably SvR2011, the right stick grapple system was great IMO.

So I am sticking with the current settings but I would love to have the right stick grapple system ...

Here Comes The Pain was game for fun and now they focus on simulation style games so there is nothing to compare but i didn't liked how easy was to reverse in HCTP

It's funny because besides a few times playing WWE13 at my buddies house, I haven't played a WWE game since SvR2007. When I pick up the controls for that game, or HCTP, even after having not played it for years, it's just like riding a bike. I get right back into it no problem. But when I played WWE13, the controls were totally alien to me. After about half an hour I got to a point where I could sorta do it, on a basic level, but it was no where near as easy or accessible as HCTP.

I just wish they could mesh the current simulation style with the button placement of HCTP. i.e. triangle = run, X = strike, O & square = grab & grapple, L1 = Finisher, etc.

The same could be said for 2K NFL and Madden. The controls for Madden suck donkey.... but the controls for 2K NFL were fantastic! So, I'm hoping as we go down the road in WWE 2K15/16 they tweak the controls to a point where they are really accessible for guys like me who liked the older control scheme. At least include an alternate setup to choose.

That's ironic because most would rather have a game where Reversal is do-able and not bull Shit. On WWE 13 you'll tap the Reversal button on time and you won't even get the Reverse. The best Reversal system was in SVR11. It wasn't to easy, and wasn't impossible at the same time.

Because you don't need to tap them, just press one time and in WWE 13 it's very easy to reverse and i've never had issues with this.

When has it ever been where you had to tap the Reverse button? Every WWE game since SVR has been where you timed it and pressed the button. WWE 13 has an awful Reverse system. I played once and I didn't even tap the reverse button but I still received a Reverse. Don't settle for less.
