How can we improve? (What SDH Needs V3)Ideas, suggestions and input is needed!

Just thought of this, tell me what you guys think about it. We already have a consideration list for promotions and demotions. How about there being one for warns as well. Like, let's say someone's been consistently breaking rules or just doing stuff subject to warn (as in, excessive strong language, making shitload of one-word posts or one-liners). Basically, just being an annoyance to the forum in general. And there's a chance they may not be realizing it. So, instead of warning them straight away or overlooking their behavior with the hope they'll eventually improve, the staff can send them a PM, informing them that they've been added to a "Warning list" of sorts and if they don't maintain good behavior for a respectable amount of time, they'll be subject to a set number of warning points or even suspension if the behavior/attitude is extremely bad. That way, you give them a chance to improve themselves and it can count as a stricter approach of sorts where you make them aware that you're closely monitoring their progress and this forum isn't a free area to post whatever bullshit they please.

I really like this idea, I remember when I first joined and received some warning point that I never really noticed that I had them unless told and didn't really understand the impact of what I wasdoing. Not sure if the system has changed since then but a PM would definitely show that we are watching behavior and I hope would discourage users from continuing to break rules. 

I Also want to say that we should also add new mobile skin, just go to some IP board support forums and you will get some free ip board mobile skins, if you want me i can suggest you some.

Also, when we are going to see new updates because cant wait..

I think we've stated before that changing mobile skin isn't needed. Not to say we won't, but it's more work when the current one is perfectly fine.

is there anyway to raise the number of allowed embedded youtube videos in a single post atleast to 5 or 6? i don't like having to just post links and prefer sharing my universe videos here but since the site won't embed my playlists (i have no idea why) that's the only reason i ask lol

other than that i am enjoying how the site is

I don't see any reason to upgrade the software. I don't see anything wrong with it. If anything that should be updated regarding the forum. is the banner. Which is currently a work in progress.

Links work mostly fine, just don't use the ones with feature in them.

The maximum number of media files per post is actually set to 15, strange that you're having issues after 4.

I'm curious, why do you find the new version a mess? I am waiting until next year to update to the new version as right now it would mean going from WWE 2K14 to WWE 2K15 Next Gen feature-wise xD as they re-built everything from scratch and while there are some amazing improvements, there are also a few important things that we use now that haven't been upgraded yet.

For some reason when I try to quote on my iPhone the cursor always shows up in the quote area and not the reply area. Maybe it's safari or maybe cause i still have an iPhone 4. I don't know lol I just use the laptop for ST when I go there since no one else seems to run into that issue. Standard replies are fine it's just the quoting.

I'm okay with it if you do end up upgrading. I think i hated it at first but i have gotten used to it lol

as far as the media files. i don't know maybe it's cause i was Embedding them but yeah when i was trying to post all my youtube videos from 1 week of universe after i embedded 4 or 5 of them they would just start posting links.  It could just be something i was doing wrong lol. I still haven't figured out how to embed playlists on here or the Smacktalks forums, yet i didn't have any problems on Proboards at all.

As i saw in Mobile theme we should add that feature by which as soon as we just click on notification and read it, it should be Marked as read, we should not go so down and select mark as read.

I honestly didn't understand this question but if it's what I think it is then it should be mark as read because you're marking in as read. Marked as read would mean it's already marked. But I might just be confused with the question.

I literally had to skip all the way to comment on this matter and the most important way we can improve is to get our community involved with the things they enjoy the most. We have to listen to them and update all the dead forums and reimagine how the newer ones will survive if we don't constantly push the envelope. I would suggest we have related articles on the right hand side of the forum with the best featured comments and/or status updates about the hottest topics available and a media page to promote the website/forum but on all public forums available. We have to give more custom options that make sense and revamp the older sections that don't have a use anymore and if something isn't working then we fix it. Plain and simple. I really do think we have to think outside the box and do new things because like a chain....we're only as strong as the weakest link so we need to strengthen all parts equally and move forward with our best plan in action. I whole heartedly believe that half the battle is preparation and the other half is execution. I am a advocate of learning to mold myself into what's the next best version and I think we all have the potential to do BIG things in this lifetime but we waste it.
