CHANGE IN AWARD SYSTEM

Firstly we are happy to announce the introduction of a new award for the winner of the popular Sports Prediction game, hosted by  Wpr96 and Crazy™:

This gives you guys even more incentive to play it as you get an award now for winning as well as undisputed glory, so head over to the Sports Section now to predict games from the NBA, NFL and Football (Soccer) matches: http://www.thesmackd...ictions-thread/

Moreover, with the January New Year's Revolution update we introduced a brand new batch of fresh awards, however we feel they have been underutilsed by the staff with little of them actually awarded to members. Thus we have implemented a change in the distribution of the awards henceforth!

Members can still use the request thread for achievements they have accomplished/obtained, (i.e. years of SDH, post count awards, Hot Topic etc.), but now also for awards you feel you deserve. Use perfect grammar all the time? Request the Grammar Nazi award! Always welcome new members? Mr. Nice Guy is just waiting to be awarded to you!

Obviously the staff will have the final decision as to whether we feel you deserve the award as well, but this new change should increase the amount of awards we see members acquire. After all, you deserve them!

SEPTEMBER 2015 GROUP UPDATES

With regret, the staff today announce the demotions of The-Nick , El Fantastico and Nic Virtue to Supporter and Member capacities respectively. It's saddening to see once very active members reduced in ranks, however it is a decision we as the staff feel is necessary to ensure fairness to our fellow members.

MOTM/Monthly Moderating

ICYMI, congratulations to  BANKS for being named August's Member of the Month!

Also, September is the month Tamer achieves his mod powers across the forum. This is our new "monthly moderating" idea where we give members who have impressed the staff recently mod powers for a calendar month.

2015 SDH Slammy Awards

If you are not familiar, at the end of the year we have the SDH Slammy Awards that recognises our best members from throughout the year. Soon we'll be having a public discussion topic regarding award categories, duration of voting and ultimately the date they will take place at the end of the year. Stay tuned.

Get predicting guys, it's a lot of fun and with that new award (who made that again Al? ) you have even more incentive to play. Make sure to request the awards you feel you deserve, I'd be happy to give them if you truly do.

Sucks that some members are no longer active but we unfortunately must demote them as such.

The update on the award system is something really good. Loving the design of the new award!

Sad to see those members getting demoted.

Yeah it's sad to see, members getting demoted. However this is something that needs done after a while.

Tamer & Banks are proving they don't have second year syndrome.

Tamer's a nice, active, reasonable guy, very good choice for the monthly moderator.

Yipee! the Predicttions award idea was really Cool and i really i lookout of award.

So sad that they get demoted but as BCG told ths could done be after while.

Those are amazing updates, really. First of all, huge congrats to Tamer for the modding powers for this month. I hope to see you as the MOTM.

Then also goes congras to Crazy and Wpr for hosting those predictions. I can bet that is a pretty hard job, or at least it necesits a lot of time.

I feel really sorry for the inactive members. I hope that they will come soon. I seriously miss them all. :/

Also, again, congrats to Banks for achieving the MOTM achievement.
