I'm not sure if it's me but Season 2 has completely ruined the game for me. There was nothing wrong at all with what they were doing with Season 1 but the game just doesn't have the same feel to it anymore for whatever reason.
Yeah from what I've gathered, the Season 2 "reset" wasn't exactly much needed, especially in the capacity that it happened. It's a wasted effort on their part too, remaking all the cards again. I guess they just wanted to revive the game for people that already did it all, and give reasons to new players to start without feeling at a huge disadvantage.
To be honest all that's come out of Season 2 that's been somewhat of a benefit to players is the updated cards. Obviously it gives everyone a fresh start and puts everyone at a level playing field again but a lot of us put an insane amount of time into the cards we obtained in Season 1 and now they've all been rendered useless, it's almost a slap in the face to those that gave their time and effort to playing Season 1. From what I've played of it, Season 2 has just been buggy, slow and horrific with card pulls with the addition of the new enhancement feature that resets the board as well as the most horrendous match making imaginable. I think they could have at least given us a choice as to whether we wanted to continue playing Season 1 or hop over to the updated Season 2 rather than just force an update on us in order to continue playing.
I guess you could look at it as if a new game came out. At the end of the day, the time spent and the progress you made on a previous year's game does not carry over. Except in this situation, a bit of Season 1 is retained as the cards still have somewhat of an use, although not very major.
As far as enhancements, they did change that now and they no longer reset the board: http://www.thesmackd...nge-coming-soon
Yeah that's a good point but on the flip side you know ahead of time that a new game is coming out. Catdaddy just sprung Season 2 on us out of nowhere and at least with a new game you always have the option to go back and play the previous installment if it's not to your liking. Sadly that's not the case here and I feel as players of the product we should have at least had a choice of which version(s) we want to keep and play rather than be told "You will feed our bank accounts by converting to this upgrade." That's what it comes to down to, money and from a business perspective there's never anything wrong with that but the way they handled it without any sort of warning ahead of time is where I have an issue with the game makers.
I'm not sure if it's just me then but I've seen no change. I've had a handful of board resets due to the rare enchancement cards over the last couple of days so unless there's an update I've missed or hasn't installed correctly, I'm not sure. I'll have to check up on that though.
