CLARKSVILLE — A professional wrestler known as "Crimson" is accused of headbutting his wife outside a Clarksville hotel early Sunday morning.

According to an arrest warrant, Clarksville police were called to a domestic assault outside Mid Town Inn on Kraft Street at 1:33 a.m. after someone called 911 and said a man in a while T-shirt headbutted a woman. When police arrived, the woman told them everything was fine as she attempted to pull her husband away from officers.

She had blood coming from her nose and lip, according to an arrest warrant.

Her husband, Anthony Gregory Mayweather, 31, was charged with domestic assault. He is a professional wrestler best known for his work with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. His stage names have been "Tommy Mercer" and "Crimson."

His wife, Heather Mayweather, told police that she fell down and nothing physical happened between the two, according to an arrest warrant.

Anthony Mayweather also said nothing physical happened but "was very defensive about officers asking his wife questions about what happened," the warrant states.

A security guard from a nearby restaurant told police he witnessed Anthony Mayweather headbutt Heather Mayweather in her face.

Anthony Mayweather, who gave a Dabney Lane address, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on $2,500 bond.

Heather Mayweather, 32, was also arrested and charged with public intoxication. According to her arrest warrant, she had slurred speech and was uneasy on her feet. The warrant states she was a danger to herself. She was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on $439 bond.

After a few of weeks of good fortune for TNA Impact's ratings, the viewership took a drop for last night's show (April 5, 2016). According to ShowBuzz daily, the first run only garnered 272,000 viewers with the re-airing coming in at 66,000. These are both down from 312,000 and 76,000 respectively. That's a total loss of 50,000 viewers. (The first run dropped from 0.1 to 0.08 in the actual ratings calculations.)

Obviously, this is not good news for TNA, who is amidst their standard rumor of financial issues, which you can read about here. If POP TV really is unhappy with where the ratings are sitting, then any trend downward is bad news. And this was as show that was advertised as a bigger show, titled "Revenge" and featured the end of the Jeff Hardy/Eric Young feud in a cage match and a TNA championship main event between Drew Galloway and Matt Hardy.

Former TNA World Champion Bobby Roode left TNA Wrestling earlier this year after he finished up a round of tapings for them. He along with Eric Young left to leave only a few TNA Originals on the roster, which was sad to see. The problem for TNA was that they could not meet payment needs for Roode. While Roode did fit the mold better than most out of TNA, rumors out of The Wrestling Observer stated that WWE was more interested in Eric Young than Roode.

Despite this, it does appear Bobby Roode was signed first. Wrestling Inc. confirms that Bobby Roode has signed with WWE. As we all know now, Roode was used on camera at the WWE NXT Takeover: Dallas event. WWE then put an article up on their website talking about him possibly signing with the company. Now that we know he has signed, it all makes sense. At the time, most fans knew once they saw him that he had signed a deal.

Wrestling Inc. claims he signed about a week before the Takeover event. That means he and WWE had talks just days after he left TNA. Roode was a free agent and able to sign without any no compete clause added in. Most believe he had talks with WWE and officially signed when he was in Dallas for Takeover last Friday. Regardless of when he signed, this is a big deal.

Apparently Roode introduced himself to many people backstage at WrestleMania 32. He was also spotted on the WWE NXT bus with other NXT stars. It is expected that he will be used in the next round of NXT tapings. It is uncertain if he’ll be on later episodes due to TNA still having him on air for a while. However, it can be assumed that he’ll get a chance to work the next bit of events.

It will be interesting to see if Bobby Roode will be the last TNA star signed. One can imagine that Young will have a shot, but Roode did make the most sense to sign first due to the fact he is the total package for WWE to use.
