Lovers of gaspy cryptic promos and lights-out attacks will sleep a little easier today, as it is being reported that Bray Wyatt is scheduled to return to WWE live events as of next week.

Wyatt has been out since April, when he injured his right calf at a live event in Milan, Italy, and his imminent return was confirmed by Vince McMahon at the company's quarterly call a couple of weeks back.

There's no word yet on whether Wyatt will return to RAW or SmackDown, or what his status is regarding Money in the Bank, but all will surely be revealed soon. Those who like to read way too far into things can create their own theories around why it is taking WWE so long to confirm the 7th participants in the 2016 Money in the Bank ladder match.

As with any returning star, it will be fascinating to see how Bray Wyatt is portrayed when he returns to WWE television. Before being injured Bray seemed to be making something of a face turn, so will this continue next week? Or will WWE do with Bray what they have seemingly done with Seth Rollins, ride out the initial hero's return pop and then turn him back heel?

Either way, I'm guessing Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman are pretty happy about this news.

Two major questions headlined the week's WWE NXT news: When is Hideo Itami coming back to the ring, and when will American Alpha be bound for the main roster?

Itami has been gone so long from the developmental brand (thanks to a shoulder injury) that two new NXT champions have been crowned and five TakeOver specials have passed in his absence. The latest word on his recovery is the first positive news on that front in a long while.

As for American Alpha, WWE has reportedly been discussing a move to the main roster in the near future for the NXT tag team champs. That appears uncertain now, though, as the entire WWE landscape is set to change with the brand split.

In other stories, WWE is opening its Performance Center to visitors, NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn is on its way and Mojo Rawley traveled with the main roster on Monday night.

Enzo Amore and Big Cass were the special guests on last night’s ESPN Off the Top Rope segment hosted by Jonathan Coachman, and you can check out highlight videos below. The following is a brief recap of their appearance.

Regarding their “realest guys in the room” catchphrase, Enzo says it’s actually real, and that’s why it works. He says what you see on WWE TV is who they are, and added he has to turn the volume down a bit on himself, and the volume up a bit on Cass, which is why they work well together as a team.

On the upcoming brand extension, Cass acknowledges that he and Enzo could be split up, but he says that the draft will create competition amongst the superstars in WWE and that will be best for both the Raw and Smackdown brands. He says everyone is in a place where they want to make the WWE brand better, so while he hopes they don’t get split up, the brand split is the best thing that could have happened to them.

On the concussion Enzo suffered at WWE Payback, Enzo says it happened when his head hit the mat, and he’s blessed to be back on WWE TV and make a comeback. He added he’s not “sawft” and that he and Cass have their eyes on the WWE tag team division.
