What is SOTM? 

SOTM stands for 'Signature of the Month'

As activity is lower than before, it is a way to revive SOTW by giving a longer time frame to our entrants.

Beast as in an animal? Or something mythical. Or both?

Up to interpretation. Could be an animal, could be the Disney character, could be Brock Lesnar.

Does it have a different kind of award from what we had for SOTW? I mean, if anyone, for example Rob, wins the contest, is he going to be awarded with a new icon in his User Awards?

Perhaps the award can be changed to just GFX? That way its known as a award for graphic competitions?

I can't make a new award unfortunately. It's not that different to SOTW anyway.

I guess I'll drop this, I think it's meh, but I threw it together......so, yolo.
