Bully Ray reportedly held a meeting backstage at tonight's TNA live event in Hagerstown, MD and told the crew that he was leaving and didn't expect to be back.

Bully's deal is expiring and tonight's live event was the last date he was scheduled for.

Bully and partner Devon are scheduled to be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame during Bound For Glory this year.

Little update too :

PWInsider.com is claiming that former two-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray has finished up with the company. His contract expires soon – if it hasn’t already – and TNA was unwilling to give him the kind of deal he was hoping for. Insider’s report states that Bully told the locker room he wasn’t planning on signing a new deal with the company, and that his performance at a recent live event would be his last.

Bully Ray and Devon will be inducted into the TNA Hall of Famer at this year’s Bound for Glory PPV in Japan. Along with being a former world champion and a 3-time tag champion, he has become one of the key main event stars on television over the last few years, and was reportedly a major locker room leader backstage.

As a TNA fan, I have to say DAMN!  First they lost AJ Styles, then Sting, Chris Sabin, and Bad Influence.  Now they have lost Bully Ray?  Dixie is a big retard!  Keeps Zema Ion, loses Bully Ray.  At this rate, everyone will be gone soon except those who are willing to take a major pay cut.  I wonder if this means WWE are in the market for a Bully?

PWInsider.com is reporting that Devon is still currently under contract with TNA until sometime later this fall. Bully Ray finished up with the company this past week and did not sign a new deal.

Regarding their TNA Hall of Fame induction at Bound For Glory, it is being reported that they will still make it happen.

I'm all for it. Especially since he has proven he can do a singles run.

--According to PWInsider.com, when Bully Ray spoke to the TNA crew at this past Sunday’s live event, he didn’t actually say he was gone from the company, but was saying his goodbyes to everyone as he thinks he is on his way out of the company. Based on what he had been saying to some of the talent, the impression given is he will never be back with TNA.

As for why Ray is leaving TNA, it’s being said he and TNA were in talks to sign a new deal, but the two sides could not come to terms, which is a similar situation AJ Styles found himself in when he decided to leave TNA.

Backstage word in TNA is that we will be learning of many more talent deals expiring in the coming weeks.

--The Wrestling Observer is reporting that eventhough Bully Ray may be on his way out of TNA, there is no interest on WWE’s behalf into signing him.

WWE didn’t show interest in him for a few years, and didn’t try to sign Devon when he was recently available. In addition to this, his age is a factor, and he has some detractors in WWE, most notably Randy Orton.

He could be helpful in the WWE developmental program as a trainer or agent, but WWE looks to have those positions all filled, in addition to a hiring freeze due to budget cuts.

I was thinking the same. Hopefully what's stated above isn't true about WWE not wanting him.

I hate WWE's mentality on not signing past WWE stars that either quit, made a name in TNA, or were made in TNA[or elsewhere for that matter].  I understand WWE wants younger talents, but why not sign Bully Ray?  He has improved leaps and bounds over what he was doing as a tag team wrestler and he totally reinvented himself.  It's also idiotic that just because people don't like Bully that WWE wouldn't sign him based on that factor because it's the wrestling BUSINESS not wrestling BUDDIES.  WWWF and WWF made a lot of stars from past rival companies like NWA/WCW, WCCW, AWA, and ECW and some of them like Stone Cold or The Undertaker became legends once they came to WWF/WWE.  WWE really needs to change their policy on talents because they could receive an influx of talents from TNA alone not to mention ROH or other indy promotions.  I doubt Bully Ray will go to WWE but as a fan, I think it'd be entertaining as hell especially considering WWE's whole "anti bullying" campaign.....
