I don't even understand the purpose of the season pass if it doesn't make everything else free?

Ok so we only have to pay an additional 20 dollars for the WCW, NXT and moves pack. When you think about it, that's not too bad.

This is precisely what I was thinking!  You'd think that season pass implies by purchasing the "season pass" you'd get the entire DLC and not have to buy them separately.  Which IMO was the motive for getting the season pass, so you would save on not having to buy each DLC pack separately and get a discount on the season pass.  Now, it feels like they are looking for any reason to overcharge us fans because they think we'll pay insane amounts for the different packs.  If this is the case, I'm questioning whether or not to get any of the DLC or season pass.  I can't honestly see myself paying close to $50 for DLC after paying $65 for the game itself.  Besides that, the PS3/Xbox 360 owners like me are already being shafted by not getting certain characters and modes.  Really sad that 2K is ruining the 2K15 experience by being greedy and not giving all versions of the game the same consideration...

Really? When you've paid 60 for the game and 25 for Paige you think an additional 20 on top of that isn't too bad? You must be new here.

There's a date when I joined that's listed under my profile. And what does the time length of me being on here have to do with it anyway? You think this is my first WWE game rodeo or something? Oh OK. And I mean, their not forcing you to buy the additional packs.....it's optional.

I was being facetious with saying you were new here because most users on here would find it ridiculous to pay that much for DLC. You dont think its so bad and that's fine, ur entitled to that opinion. And no they aren't forcing you to buy the packs but nobody is questioning that. What is being questioned is the price of all the DLC in total. But yes I understand you think its a reasonable price.

I'm honestly not convinced that the season pass doesn't make everything else free. This seems too extreme of a marketing ploy. I wouldnt be surprised if this was misinterpreted by someone. I'd wait for some official word straight from 2k.

The DLC this year is decent, but I don't know if I'd call it the best any WWE game has offered.  Yeah, it's true getting a few more feuds is cool and having extra moves and wrestlers are awesome.  However, I was more psyched last year when we got the season pass for $20 and got Hogan, Hall, Nash, Macho, Henning, Syxx and The Giant as the nWo pack.  And we still got more moves as well as Superstar Heads.  Overall, I liked the DLC last year from everything we've heard about this year's DLC(if the rumors are true).  If we have to pay $50 for the entire season pass, then hands down last year was a better value for the price.

Also, the WCW pack this years is laughable compared to last year's nWo pack.  I mean, guys like Lord Steven Regal and Fit Finlay are ok, but they shouldn't have been in while other top WCW names were left out.  Getting DDP, Booker T  Bam Bam Bigelow and Luger is understandable since they were somewhat big stars in WCW.  But where are guys from the cruiserweight division???  Where are the members of the nWo?  On the note, I'm also hoping we get proper arenas from WCW and ECW.  WWE has the rights to both brands and it's insane of WWE to not take advantage of recreating them in game.  At least put them in the CAA as bases so we can make lifelike replicas of them.

I could have recreated these showcase moments in universe mode. This is all strategic because within these packs, there's at least one person or something you'll want and some people will pay for it.

What next? A Wwe network subscription bundle pack? If anything, the Wwe should have offered a free month of the network with all pass codes that expiring january 2nd just to try to get more subscribers instead of this useless showcase mode bullshit. Let me relive it live, not through shitty inaccurate reanimation. Mark henry hall of pain?! Like why do I need to play with an old mark henry. The roster will be filled with so many unnecessary doubles this year. Like, I don't care for an old shitty looking Orton when you're giving me a full body/face scanned current Orton. Same with cena.

Had they spent more time on the current roster and dlcs that made sense and less on showcase mode, they probably could have finished on time and given both system generations a fair share. The fact that current gen looks exactly like 2k14 is hell enough. Then you expect people to pay close to another $40 to complete the current roster smh

And let's not even talk about how shitty online is and how limited it is when you haven't downloaded certain packs/dlcs that friend have. You think there are only 10 ppl online only to find out you only play against those who've download the same packs as yourself. Will that be fixed?!

Is community creation still in or do they not want us to make better wrestlers and not care for dlcs? I'm sure with the new face scan tech, there are ways to make legends and non Wwe stars. I mean, let them rally up, scan themselves and upload it to creation community if it will exist.

So many questions need to be answered.

Jesus! Good or bad, a DLC shouldn't cost this much.
I've never seen a marketing so bad for a videogame. We're 2 weeks away from the current gen release and we didn't get a single gameplay video (for me the gameplay trailer is the same as nothing), full roster, Universe, Creation Suite, Online, matches and superstars/divas models info.
God, even THQ did a better job than 2K.

It looks like 2K did a great job updating the grapple system and recreating the realistic atmosphere of the WWE product.   However, that is really the only thing I can commend them on so far.  Their marketing strategy for marketing the game is completely horrendous and there isn't any logical reasoning for it.  I mean, the PS3/Xbox 360 versions are a little over a week away from release and the PS4/Xbox One versions are a little less than a month away.  How can you expect buzz to get around about the game if you don't try to hype it up with details and videos to show it off?  We got the gameplay trailer, which while that was an awesome trailer, was released far too late and appears to be the only info we'll get until it's released.  It's a crying shame, because last year we got all kinds of screens, videos, entrance/finisher videos and several live streams to show off the modes and features.

You'd think that if they spent so much time refining the game and working to improve it, 2K would want us fans to know exactly what we are getting and why we should spent our money to get it.  The idea that they want to keep everything a secret until the last moment is a bad business strategy IMO.  Add in the fact that they are already shafting us last gen owners by leaving out over 40 wrestlers and the My Career mode.  I could deal with graphics being slightly updated with the lighting being the biggest change, cause honestly graphics are great, but if the gameplay is good can be forgiven somewhat.  However, leaving out 3 dozens wrestlers and a key mode on PS3 and Xbox 360?  Just seems to me that 2K pretty much wants us to buy the new gen, which is understandable, but is a terrible way of rewarding people like me who can't afford the u[grade right now.  And ultimately will alienate some potential buyers since it feels like the last gen consoles are almost being ignored in favor of the new systems.   Throw in DLC being so insanely expensive, and they really took what could've been the best wrestling game ever and ruined it because of greed.  I don't really get what would have possessed them to employ such a ludicrous maneuver to begin with.  Obviously, doing the season pass was a brilliant idea and one that would make them more money in passing on discounts to users for buying once instead of multiple times.  Now, it appears they are wanting us to do the opposite and pay more for the sake of spending more money.   Can't say I can see that move paying off in the end, since the whole premise of a season pass is paying less overall vs. getting every separate pack,

All in all, 2K hasn't done a lot to promote this game as it deserves to be presented.  If you have loyal fans who expect to see what they are buying, the last thing you want to do is show literally nothing.  Yeah, you will get the same buyers in all likelihood, but you could attract demographics that aren't even hardcore fans if you promoted it right.  And isn't that the whole reason to produce games like this?  Maybe 2K will show something between this week and next, but if not, they aren't doing themselves any favors IMO.  It's beyond me as to why they haven't properly advertised WWE 2K15 or used the DLC Season Pass to reward loyal customers.  I'm guessing it will make the difference in selling more copies of the game and the DLC.  I like how 2K is updating the game itself and it seems like they do care about the product, but not taking advantage of consumers curiosity is a very ignorant move.

I have a feeling they will also have a review embargo for early reviewers so there won't be any negative press before release. It seems to be part and parcel for companies who try this terrible DLC tactic. I won't be buying the game until I have seen some proper fair reviews and definitely won't be paying an extra $50+ for their DLC.

I'm not rich by any means. I make enough to pay my bills, by some sneaks and pay $100 for a game if I want..... It's all about saving money kids.

And I just realized something you're calling me new here when my join date is before yours.......lol

I know that's something that was terribly misleading when they had the "livestream" for the full roster on IGN a couple months back.  All we actually got was a partial reveal with renders of the characters they showed.  No actual In game footage, which would have been a great way to see re-animated finishers and get the full roster.  Instead, here it is a little over a week until I get my version of the game, and don't even know the full roster.  So, even considering the DLC is incomprehensible at the moment to me.  It's sheer lunacy to not properly promote the game and give fans a chance to see what they are buying.  At least that way, there aren't any disappointments with the final product.  But alas, it seems 2K is perfectly content to keep everything a secret until you buy the finished version.  IMO, this has been the worst year of WWE gaming as far as seeing and knowing details about the game before it's in my system...

Never thought I would miss THQ

It's kind of a quandary for me here.  On one hand, THQ was awesome at promoting the game, but lacked properly updating all aspects of their games and keeping them current.  From all I've seen, 2K is finally bringing WWE games up to par with other sports games, but they aren't as good at promoting the game and getting all details of the game known.  So, if 2K let their ambition for making the game better merge with THQ's type of presentation, then we'd have a great wrestling game company.  Honestly though, as long as the game is polished and improved, I really don't mind the lack of info.  I mean, I certainly don't agree with their logic or believe it will make people more curious about it.  In the end, people won't remember that no info was released on it as much as how good or bad the finished product turns out.

The lack of info is likely to prevent over hype, every year in the THQ era the game was hyped big time and everyone all thought it was going to be the best game then later when we got it nearly everyone just complained, with this way of marketing more people might actually be pleased with the game as it wasn't over hyped (this is why Destiny wasn't popular with the gaming community after its release because it was over hyped, not necessary what you would call a bad game, just over hyped meaning it just didn't live up to the hype which will affect your enjoyment of the game, same for Watch Dogs as well.

I don't think you'd have even half the roster we have now if THQ was still aroun- actually scratch that. THQ didn't even make the game. It was Yukes.
