The much-anticipated PC version of "Grand  Theft Auto V (GTA V)" is expected to be released on January 27, 2015. A few months delayed from the Xbox One and PS4 version release on November 18. Recently, Take-Two Interactive addressed the reason behind the delay.

According to Kitguru.net, CEO of Take-Two Interactive Strauss Zelnick explained the reason behind the delay during a recent shareholder's conference call.  Basically, Zelnick claimed the PC version for "GTA V" needs more time to be perfected.

"When we move a title, it's almost always the same answer, which is giving a title a bit more development time to make sure that it can be everything that it ought to be," he said.

Afterdawn claimed Rockstar Games has a long standing history of delayed releases for its games. However, his has reportedly been in favour with the company since they put out games that are bug-free. Zelnick likewise confirmed this in his statement. "While we would prefer never to change a release date, it's proven to be a good move for us in general," he said.

However, the delay reportedly also has it perks as it is expected to bring in new upgrades to "Grand Theft Auto V." "GTA V" for PC is expected to feature visual and technical upgrades, according to PC Gamer. Likewise, there will be additional wildlife and new foliage system. The version will supposedly also feature denser traffic and enhanced damage and weather effects.

Likewise, Rockstar Games on its NewsWire assured that "Grand Theft Auto V" for the PC will feature new weapons, such as the rail gun and hatchet. Los Santos will reportedly also see new vehicles, the likes of the Cheval Marshall monster truck and maneuverable Blimp. Rockstar also assured players will be enticed with new activities like stock car races and the wildlife photography challenge."GTA V" for PC will reportedly also have better draw distances and higher resolutions.  Furthermore, Rockstar Games has supposedly also planned on adding 100 extra songs for radio song selections.

Finally on its newswire, Rockstar Games announced a great deal for anyone who pre-orders "GTA V," be it for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 version. Preorders will entitle gamers to "receive a bonus of GTA$1M ($500k for Story Mode and $500k for use in Grand Theft Auto Online)."

I just don't get the difficulty of importing the game to a platform that is actually more powerful and with more space than the previous one...

It's simple, different internal structures. PCs all have different setups & devs have to make a game to be able to run on all the different gaming rigs out there with their different specs.

It's easy to make for consoles because they have, pretty much, the same internal setup (specs).

To the OP, Ummmmm.......that article is WAY off base because it makes it seem like all those new features are exclusive to PC, when in fact they aren't because Rockstar themselves have said they apply to PS4 & Xbox One as well.
