I'm assuming the majority of guests who visit the forum do so for the WWE games section, so I'd suggest completely restricting its access to only the registered members. If they (the guests care enough), they'll sign up and there'd certainly be a better chance of them interested in posting something than it'd be otherwise. Maybe go all out and restrict the forum as a whole heavily, but that might be too risky as it may turn away the guests completely. Either way, I think you guys should take advantage of the fact that the games section is a major selling point and restrict its accessibility to lure people into signing up. Maybe tempt them further by pointing out the perks of signing up in brief (earning awards, recognitions, promotions, etc.).
I'm a massive fan of the idea, thanks for the response Crazy. I was thinking something similar. Anybody massively opposed to this?
Regarding current activity, we're not getting a lack of guests coming onto the forum, as we recently smashed the record for "Most Online" back in September, it's the lack of members signing up that's the problem. Possible restrictions in certain sections could solve this or prompt the guests to sign up in a more persuasive manner by perhaps including a message every time they view a new section. The one we have at the moment is good but we need more of it to get more people signing up. --- NEED MORE FEEDBACK ON HOW THIS CAN BE IMPLEMENTED
- Limiting the guests to register in order to see an image(any image).
- Making the WWE Creations section only available to members.
I like this too, specifically the creations side because a lot of people enjoy sharing, viewing, rating and downloading things in the creation suite. Definitely plausible to make this members-only.
I do want more mature people, but I do not want this turning into a(sorry for the comparison, I hate doing this) Smacktalks where 90% of the people will make fun of you and your topics, without any sign of respect. They all have relationships with mods that allow them to say whatever they want and get you banned for calling them out on it. I fear the same exact type of people will come in and blow it up, because the forum used to be full of them. I was looking at the early postings of the "What's on your mind?" topic and I saw no deep thought or discussion whatsoever. But, if we can do something to keep the same audience while expanding it, I'm all for it.
This part right here is what I can't stress enough of how much I'd hate for this to happen. I don't want a figurative barrier holding me or anyone else down from saying certain things but I hope to god it never gets that out of hand.
Don't worry guys the first pages (I don't know how many) of "What's on your mind?" were copied from the MP forum, and I can assure you there won't be another repeat or similar situation.

Also, please do not be afraid of saying what you think, you won't get warned I can assure you of that. We do not mind you criticising certain things as long as you do it in appropriate manner without massive amounts of swearing. You're all mature I'm sure you understand
Moreover, Andy will be answering all your questions and suggestions tomorrow, so be sure to contribute so you can get any answers you deserve and want! Thanks.
