The key to sustained activity

2015 has been excellent for the SDH so far! We had a massive forum update, New Year's Revolution (Forum Update 4.3), which incorporated a tonne of suggestions from everyone, the January Group Updates, and overall a lot more activity. It doesn't and shouldn't stop here though. In order for us to continue progressing we need everyone's full commitment.

The name of the game this year is activity. Everyone wanted more of it, and the forum is starting to blossom again. To keep a sustained and healthy amount of activity we need everyone to contribute even more so than they have in the past, and this doesn't just mean posting in topics. Active discussions and debate can only come from though-provoking topics, and everyone should start making more of them! If you feel you want to share something and think it will produce a good response, make a topic. There's nothing to lose and everything to gain. The Staff this year will be recognizing, acknowledging and rewarding members, more than ever, who make interesting topics. We're not going to be spying on you like the NSA, but we will be monitoring each and every one of you, noting down anything you do well in regards to topic making and engaging in discussion.

We give you freedom to express yourself in any manner (as long as it is within the Board Rules), and ensure you make full use of that freedom. You won't be penalized for making excessive amounts of topics whatsoever, as long as they convey a message and allow others to comment upon it.

Set yourself a goal to make more topics if you're generally someone who just contributes to them, rather than being the instigator. The things incorporated in the recent update give you more of a chance to be promoted than ever before, and the Board Rules have new guidelines to follow to ensure you are in the best position for said promotions: http://www.thesmackd...tion=boardrules

This is actually a great topic for those who thought they've lost their chance to be promoted. Don't stop being cool, SDH is getting a better place. Actually Staff wanted us to be more active on the board especially SDH Supporters. The Staff doesn't want to manage a dead forum, they don't wanna check our profiles & see when was our last active, they don't wanna see the process of losing the SDH family. I guess we all want to keep this board alive, we all want to help our home, we all want to have a big alive family. I said it before, don't stop being cool. Create some good topics, actually general questions are always great. Try to discuss your opinion about something & share it with the family, and try to post wisely; not just posting LOL or Haha or xD or even emotions. Staff wouldn't accept that as contributing. Board Rules has already said it perfectly. Thanks for posting this thread.

Man it's really easy to create a discussion topic, just thinking about a good general question. This would be the best option.

It was unexpected from you, but that's okay. I don't think Staff wanna put a pressure on us to create topics, that's just an advise. 

Sorry I Am Not A Big Guy to say these words but i want to give my small suggestion i think this topic was posted because about some new things,this thread is not made for telling that wat you did for this forum or telling to other members that they did a very big think by helping this forum.but i think its your home you should not tell every one that i helped this forum and if i was not there this forum will be no active longer,because i think its your RIGHT To help this forum because it your home forum....sorry forgive me if told many things that dont want to tell..forgive me i am a small member from this big forum,this is my home..and please note i am not telling anyone personally or not blaming them...i just told some words that came to my tongue..forgive me if i told anything bad to anyone and if you felt bad sorry..and i am not telling specially anyone..

I make it a point to contribute in whichever topics I deem interesting but I'm hella uncreative when it comes to coming up with one xD But yeah, gonna focus on that too henceforth.

Well , that's actually a good thing . You shouldn't post in something you're interesed to . That thing can be compensated by sharing the stuff you're interesed to (not saying you don't do it , but I'm speaking on a general vision) .

I understand where you are coming from but just because I like to come on here doesn't mean I owe it anything. I like to lead by example because that's who I am and I think the forum needs it right now. I wouldn't bother posting if I felt like I were being forced to, but I'd expect to be demoted of course. This is the internet and we can all stop coming here whenever we want. Sorry if I'm coming off harsh buddy, that's not my intention, but I get nothing from posting here, I don't expect to, so basically I'm working for free here only because I choose to. Do you understand?
