Kurt Angle judgment

Some may remember Kurt Angle failing a field sobriety test with his car standing in the middle of the median of Interstate 29. Angle now pleaded in court he slipped on an ice patch, but changed that story when the officers reported the road was completely dry that evening. Then Angle said he was distracted when he got a text message. Officers had smelled alcohol on his breath, but could not charge him with DUI as he was not actually driving.


Under the terms of a plea deal, Angle would have to pay a $475 fine, serve a year of unsupervised probation and undergo a chemical dependency evaluation. He would also receive a suspended sentence of 10 days in jail. Angle was not in court for the plea deal, which is waiting for judge's approval.
