In nearly three decades of WrestleMania, there is one record that stands alone: Undertaker’s legendary undefeated streak. Now, we’re paying homage to The Deadman’s unprecedented run at the Grandest Spectacle in Entertainment with WWE 2K14’s brand-new Streak Mode, part of the 30 Years of WrestleMania experience.

 

Within the Streak Mode, you’ll have the option to either defend Undertaker’s legendary streak, or try your hand at defeating it. Find out how each option works below, then scroll down for screenshots of the game mode dedicated to The Phenom himself, Undertaker.

 

DEFEND THE STREAK

• Choose whether to use Undertaker or Undertaker (Retro)
• Defend The Phenom’s legacy in a non-stop, slobberknocker-style contest
• Raise your score by defeating as many Superstars and Legends in a row as you can
• Upload you results and scores online to prove how dominant you are

DEFEAT THE STREAK

• Choose any Superstar or Legend on the WWE 2K14 roster
• Select Undertaker or Undertaker (Retro)
• Face off against The Deadman upon the Grandest Stage of Them All
• Try to defeat Undertaker and his arsenal of special abilities seen only inside this mode
• Show off to the rest of the WWE Universe by uploading your results and high scores online

Still think the mode is a little silly though, since you can essentially set a lot of this up in exhibition.

Where did you see the WM30 Arena? How do you know it's confirmed?

I would've loved this mode if you could u lock additional legends like snuka and Sid.. But it should be fun anyway

So glad this has been confirmed, looks to be a great mode. I think I'll try and defend first. Not sure who I'd use to defeat the streak.

There's a note in the Youtube clip above saying that since the video was made, it was announced that you cannot use CAWs. Shame, as there's plenty of wrestlers not in the game, who I'd like to try it with.

Apparently defeating The Undertaker in this mode is the hardest game mode of any WWE game in history and is more like a "Final Boss Fight" which should be really challenging and frustrating at the same time. It's like competing on Legend difficulty with all the sliders turned up and then multiply that by 10 because he has powers that he can use in the matches. Either way I'm really excited and can't wait to take him on in the game.

I absolutely love how this video the guy says Defeat the Streak is Undertaker on legend difficulty with the AI sliders to the max, the human sliders to the lowest, then mutiply that by ten, then multiply that even more just because its Undertaker at WrestleMania. LMAO how hilariously awesome is that!?

Shit. This sounds tough. Hopefully whoever you choose to face Taker in the "Defeat" mode, the commentators will acknowledge the guy and give opinions on how they think he stacks up against The Deadman. Nothing takes the thrill out of a match like hearing: "This superstar is going to be a tough test for The Deadman. I wonder if he'll be the one to end it?" It's so impersonal. Hopefully they've fixed it to where they actually include the name. 

 

As for who I'll use.... GOLDBERG, (Retro) Brock Lesnar, and John Cena!

Apparently the commentary gets more detailed and superstar specific if u choose someone who has already faced taker at WrestleMania. Sooo, hunter Shawn Bundy diesel Kane flair big show orton Henry Batista edge and punk. Any guess if they'll acknowledge tensai as atrain. Man it'd crazy awesome if anyone can beat the streak with tensai.

I thought after you defended the streak past Takers record, you could replay it with any superstar? I went to 25 wins and let myself lose as I just wanted to unlock it for other wrestlers and it didn't unlock. Did I do something wrong?

Does Defend the streak have any ending ever or does it just keep going and start to recycle superstars? I just past the 40 mark...
