--According to PWInsider.com, when Bully Ray spoke to the TNA crew at this past Sundays live event, he didnt actually say he was gone from the company, but was saying his goodbyes to everyone as he thinks he is on his way out of the company. Based on what he had been saying to some of the talent, the impression given is he will never be back with TNA.

As for why Ray is leaving TNA, its being said he and TNA were in talks to sign a new deal, but the two sides could not come to terms, which is a similar situation AJ Styles found himself in when he decided to leave TNA.

Backstage word in TNA is that we will be learning of many more talent deals expiring in the coming weeks.

--The Wrestling Observer is reporting that eventhough Bully Ray may be on his way out of TNA, there is no interest on WWEs behalf into signing him.

WWE didnt show interest in him for a few years, and didnt try to sign Devon when he was recently available. In addition to this, his age is a factor, and he has some detractors in WWE, most notably Randy Orton.

He could be helpful in the WWE developmental program as a trainer or agent, but WWE looks to have those positions all filled, in addition to a hiring freeze due to budget cuts.

I hate WWE's mentality on not signing past WWE stars that either quit, made a name in TNA, or were made in TNA[or elsewhere for that matter].  I understand WWE wants younger talents, but why not sign Bully Ray?  He has improved leaps and bounds over what he was doing as a tag team wrestler and he totally reinvented himself.  It's also idiotic that just because people don't like Bully that WWE wouldn't sign him based on that factor because it's the wrestling BUSINESS not wrestling BUDDIES.  WWWF and WWF made a lot of stars from past rival companies like NWA/WCW, WCCW, AWA, and ECW and some of them like Stone Cold or The Undertaker became legends once they came to WWF/WWE.  WWE really needs to change their policy on talents because they could receive an influx of talents from TNA alone not to mention ROH or other indy promotions.  I doubt Bully Ray will go to WWE but as a fan, I think it'd be entertaining as hell especially considering WWE's whole "anti bullying" campaign.....

Fixed.

Them and AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels.  I always thought as big of a star as Styles was in TNA, he'd be even greater in WWE.  Especially against guys like Bryan, Cesaro, Cena, Orton, etc.  Of course, now WWE is only interested in self producing the same green, generic, cookie cutter NXT guys and don't want unique talent from outside their own developmental.  Which is idiotic because they are missing out on guys who could be big contributors to their programming.

I can understand that WWE want younger talents, which is cool.  But discriminating on older talents is in my opinion one of the most idiotic things WWE can do.  Guys like Hogan[biggest star ever], Austin, HHH, and Taker were all older talents when they became established in the WWF and had previously been elsewhere before they got their status in WWE history.  So by employing this policy, WWE are limiting what they can do with older talents who could all add something unique to the shows.

To be fair Prince Devitt is 32, and I can understand why they wouldn't want to re-sign all those big names right now.

WWE already did this youth movement. It started in the 90s and they shelved both Hogan and Macho. That lead to them jumping to WCW.

Yeah and that lead to WCW taking an edge over WWF in the Monday Night Wars.  Hogan's heel turn with the NWO sparked a big revolution in WCW and Macho Man had quite possibly the best run of his career in WCW.  Vince thought both had plateaued and both proved McMahon wrong.  This new policy of WWE to not use anyone made elsewhere or of a certain age is frustrating to me as a fan.  Imagine what guys like Styles, Bully Ray, Christopher Daniels, Chris Sabin, or many others could achieve in their WWE careers if the company wanted them.  And if in fact TNA goes under, then you have a lot more guys like Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, James Storm, Bobby Roode, and countless others whom have never been inside a WWE ring[at least not anything other than tryouts].  Then you have past stars like Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, and MVP whom could all have a big impact on WWE upon returning in the TNA death scenario.  The point is that WWE are missing out on beefing up their roster by insisting on using only certain talents....

TNA obviously doesn't have the funds WCW had though. That is the difference. And only Cena could do that. He's that Hogan now. If Cena ever turns heel, it will be huge.

TNA has always had financial difficulties.  No late breaking news there to any fan who stays informed on wrestling rumors and events.  I wish I could say I was confident that WWE would have the balls to do a Cena heel turn, but that will likely never happen.  Which is a shame, because when Hogan did it with the NWO it was a revolution point in his career that gave his character new life and an edge.  Something Cena hasn't had in years....

It's not about TNA's issues at all. They just don't have support from a super rich entity like Ted Turner, TNA if they had that could truly florish.

Which was precisely my point.  They don't have a billionaire like Ted Turner for TNA and don't own their own network like Turner did.  TNA needs to do something at this point really, anything.  I'd say the top of that list would be selling the company so it doesn't go under but I'm sure Dixie Carter has too much pride and we'll see a slow miserable death for TNA.  If TNA had ever had their financial situation secured, they could've been doing big things long ago and growing the company to be legit number two competition for WWE.  It's a real shame that TNA probably won't last either because I don't see any other wrestling companies stepping up anytime soon who could challenge WWE....

There's something with Vince and Angle that stops him returning. I forgot what it was though.
