Hi, first post here so please be gentle!!

 

A bit of background info; I haven't had a console since the PS2 when it first came out and haven't played a wrestling game since HCTP, so you could say I'm a little rusty. To help with that, I purchased the season pass and the my player kickstarter downloads to help me get the most out of the game (PS4).

 

Anyway, I digress! Having not been around consoles for a while this is pretty much all new to me, and one of the main questions I have is "what exactly is the point in having title matches in the single player/exhibition mode"? I mean, it is self explanatory during a career and the universe mode. That makes complete sense, but I am struggling to see the benefit of these matches in single player mode? Am I over thinking it, is it purely just for fun/nostalgia?

 

Additionally, if I play as, let's say Sting, and win a title in single player, does Sting just stay champion in that mode? I mean it won't carry over in to any careers or universe mode etc?

 

Sorry for the long post, just trying to re-establish myself with consoles and wrestling games in general.

Nothing wrong with an extra set of champions. I personally write out my shows and play the matches in exhibition, if you couldn't defend in it I probably wouldn't buy the game.
