The transition from PS1 to PS2 was dreadful. Some very positive things here:

---8 man Royal Rumble
---6 man backstage brawls (including intergender) with weapons, cars, fans, and areas to explore
---Last Man Standing matches, four man cage matches, Ultimate Submission, Slobber Knocker, Street Fights, triple threat tag teams, more
---Skipping KOTR matches
---Technical moves influenced by the Japanese makers by Yukes (love those different armbar variations!)

Thanks to itsmyyard for the videos! :P

i wanna play smackdown games :P but i have no ps2 :P

I never heard of this before but the guy in this video said you can play this game on the ps3 if you have the ps1 disc?
Might be of interest to you...

Every PS3 is able to Run PSX Titles.
most work perfect, others have some little bugs.

Or you could just download a emulator.

cant find any working emulators and wwe games.

History of WWE '12:

SYM
Part 4: Very fun game, completely forgot that you had to play the season mode multiple times to unlock all items in some PPVs--that was redundant. Much improved over JBI, played this game numerous times with a friend for days straight. Backstage fighting was extremely fun also.

HCTP
Part 5: "What was new in Here Comes The Pain was the first time Elimination Chamber and people loved the Elimination Chamber. It's a bit shit now, back then it was brilliant. The gameplay comparing it now to 2011 [SVR] exactly the same, they haven't changed anything since Here Comes The Pain.

Reversal animations, there's the slingshot--same. You could do a cross body off the chains, you could go on top of the chambers and do a crossbody off the chains. You could go on top of the chambers and do your frog splash finisher, etc. Nothing changed, this was the first game to have it. Sort your shit out THQ, it's awfully sad
".
----itsmyyard

^Nicely said, BTW there was (20) twenty different powerbombs seen in HCTP. The movesets were one of the strongest features in a wrestling game, season mode was also much improved--free roaming and the expanded backstage fighting was entertaining as *&!@. One of the best wrestling games ever made by THQ.

SVR
Part 6: I've played this game with friends and it was so entertaining. Many CAWs were based off real people, it was the birth place of my number one [fictional] CAW: BOZO. CAB was a real winner in my book and defending those belts was one of the greatest moments I've ever had. The prestiege would skyrocket through the roof when I defended those belts with the A.I. settings, reversals settings, finisher damage, weapon damage, etc on MAX. It was the hardest f&^*ing challenge I've faced in a while next to a handful of "challenges" that SVR07 had to unlock more difficult items.

Really nice history from the last 3 games. I play SVR 2007, and I can't find a way now to have some fun, coz i know the entire roster, and every time I want a random fight, I catch this: Elimination Chamber, or Last Man Standing, or HIAC. And random superstars: Dusty Rhodes, John Cena, Mr Kennedy, The Rock or SCSA. One of them, or all are on 1 EC match, or onto a match. I really want to try something new, but I got bored after I try. :P

I'm so tempted to buy ANOTHER PS2, just to get SYM, HCTP, SVR, and 2006. Those were my favorite 4 wrestling games :P

I have such fond memories of this series in it's earlier days. Those games were so much more fun for some reason than the ones we get these days and I think it's because of the awesome backstage areas. We could roam all over the place in alot of the older games. That was my favorite feature out of everything else. Having that sense of freedom in a hardcore match. Makes me kind sad that strayed away from that direction. I like how they are going realistic with the new camera angles and true to life television experience, but they are forgetting the awesome attitude era.. :cool2:

He does know they would have to make two models for each diva for that match?
