Hulk Hogan Asked If He Thinks Heís Too Old to Get Into the Ring, AJ Lee & CM Punk Return from Vacation

02 January 2015 - 02:41 PM

Hulk Hogan was asked during an interview with Cincinnati.com if he thinks he’s too old to be getting in the ring at his age.

Hogan responded, “Gosh, I don’t know, brother. I know Vince McMahon – I think he had his last match when he was 65 years old. Gosh, who knows? I guess it depends on the type of health you’re in and how you feel. Everything is kind of like a calculated risk out there, because guys get hurt all the time, so you just never know.”

The Hulkster was then asked if he’s angling to wrestle at Wrestlemania 31 in March. “I’m not angling for anything. I’m just angling to have my last match with this company”, said the WWE Hall of Famer. “My last match that I had was not with this company, and I started with this company, and it just seems only fitting that, whatever it is, this is where I should have my final match, and I haven’t have it yet. I’m training like I’m gonna get a shot at the world title next week, so I’m in great shape. I’m back down under 300 pounds, down to 295, training every day at the gym. I’m ready for the call of duty if they need me.”

As noted earlier, AJ Lee has been on vacation in Rincón, Puerto Rico, where Lee’s parents live.

Two Years of Pier.

28 December 2014 - 11:30 AM

Today 28th December of 2014 marks an incredible milestone for me in this community. Two years ago in 2012 I came here and found my second home, found friends and best friends.. But I think the most important thing that I found here was a place where I can discuss with people about literally everything and all of this in great peace.. Well most times I guess lol..

The first year I was here I had a blast, broke all kinds of records and achivements, won 3 SOTW7 awards and also later in the year I became a Supporter and some days later I won also a slammy award for MEMBER OF 2013.. It's safe to say that I didn't expect any of this when I first logged in.

Here's the topic about my first year anniversary: HERE

I am sad that for personal reasons I couldn't really replicate the first year this year.. But I just couldn't do it unfortunately. But I gave my all to be as active as I could, gave every free second I had to this forum.

Anyways that's it for the rundown of the two years, I wanted to say thanks to some people that I fell really close to my heart and people that during my experience here left something important to me.

First of all I want to say thanks and congratulate the two founders, that as always do a great job keeping this place amazing as It's always been.

So thanks Andy Badwool and The Governor.. It's just a greater pleasure thinking that you two are italian like me ;)

For the others I don't want to put out names.. Because who is important for me knows it already as I try to make this always clear :)

I would finally say a big thank you to EVERYONE on the forum, just keep supporting the site and make it become EVEN BIGGER!

I think I said enough really, this two year milestone makes me wanna be here even more and I'll be here for MANY years to come.

Thank you for reading this piece of sh..work (lol) and Love YA! :P

#SDHBITW!

Steve Austin Says Some People Didnít Think Sting Was HOF Worthy, WWE Responding to CM Punkís Comments on RAW?,News on Sting Not Wrestling vs Taker...

01 December 2014 - 08:25 PM

Adam Kelly of Rolling Stone magazine recently spoke with WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin. Below are some highlights:

Whose idea was it to do a live WWE Network interview with Vince McMahon?

Back in the day I’d reached out to him just in passing about being on the show. A couple of months ago [WWE] came to L.A. for SummerSlam and we were trying to put it together then, but he didn’t have the time to fit me in. Then they were going to fly me to Stamford but I didn’t want to go all that way to do a podcast [laughs]. So we’ve wanted to do this thing for a while. I guess timing is everything and so someone from WWE reached out to me and said, “Hey, what do you think about doing your podcast live on the WWE Network?” and I said, “Man, that would be awesome.” It’s a win-win for both parties.

Any time you go live with Vince McMahon it’s going to be a very interesting experience. To me this is a conversation between us about the wrestling business and the direction the WWE’s headed in. There’s a few key talent I’d like to ask specific questions about. In doing my research, I’ve started watching some of the old videos of the work we did as far as angles go and the chemistry we had in the ring, so I’m not there to be Howard Stern. My podcast is a conversation, it’s basically a bullshit session: two guys shooting the breeze talking about the business. At the end of the day, Vince McMahon is in the entertainment business, as am I, so I want it to be entertaining and engaging. I’m looking forward to it.

What did you make of Sting’s debut at Survivor Series?

I saw him at the WWE 2K15 panel that I hosted and I was excited to see him there because I’m a big fan. He’s had a hellacious run. Some people didn’t consider him to be Hall of Fame worthy because of the fact that he’d never been in WWE before. To me it’s a no-brainer. When I came to WCW he had been there for several years and was the top guy, so to finally see him come in, dressed in the black and white, I was blown away.

The face-to-face with him and Triple H, they just let it build and build. Triple H tried to sell the big right hand, block, there’s the kick and the damage is done, then he hits his finish. I loved it. I’m a fan of good stuff inside the squared circle and it was a good story. The Authority had really built how they needed to win that night in a really long-winded promo by Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. They were setting the table for Sting. All of the guys in that match worked their asses off, and I really enjoyed the work between Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler as they went into the finish.

What are your thoughts on NXT? I think that show harkens back to wrestling’s past in terms of style and presentation.

You hit the nail right on the head. I haven’t watched a whole lot of it but what I have seen I liked. I like the lighting, I like the action and it just feels different. I understand what WWE’s trying to do with Monday Night Raw, they want it to look like it’s the slickest production in the world, but sometimes it’s too slick. When everyone’s got a scripted promo, it doesn’t breed the same spontaneity that the Attitude Era had. You had a lot of guys out there grabbing a microphone where they might have a bullet point or two, but their words – you can’t write that stuff.

Are there any wrestlers on the current WWE roster who you see a little of the “Stone Cold” spirit in?

No, not really, just because I think they’re running a pretty tight program and no one has been willing to go out on a limb. They’re walking on eggshells a little bit as far as how aggressive they can be. They have a roster that’s full of talent, no doubt, but it’s about guys getting enough time in the ring, going through the maturation process, learning the system, becoming very mechanically proficient and learning more and more about their character. That will allow them to go out on a limb.

When I came to WWE back in the day I’d been working seven-and-a-half years and I was very frustrated. I started getting some momentum and my work was very vicious and it was very believable. Once I came up with the “Stone Cold” thing it was like a snowball rolling down a hill; it just kept getting larger and larger, and I wasn’t afraid to push the envelope. It’s not about the four-letter words; it’s about taking the ball and making things happen with it. We’ll see as the future unfolds who that guy is and what his approach will be.

CM Punk has launched his official t-shirt store at ProWrestlingTees.com. Below is a screenshot of the first designs that have been released:

On a related note, there are a lot of people within WWE who are wondering how the company will respond to Punk’s comments on Colt Cabana’s Art of Wrestling podcast. It will be interesting to see if they reference Punk on RAW this week.

-----------------------------------------

Then after Sting debuted at Survivor Series, word came out last week that Sting may end up wrestling more than one match for WWE but they were apparently building to a match against Triple H.

Rob Feinstein of RF Video, who has broken many scoops in the past, wrote several hours before Sting’s debut that he heard The Undertaker wouldn’t be facing Sting and that a match with Triple H was in the works. Feinstein wrote the following hours before Survivor Series:

“From what I been hearing I think Undertaker is done and the plans are for Sting and HHH at Mania…but anything can change but that is what I have been told”

“All I can say is “I Tried” at least I got to speak my mind.. You Win some and you Lose some… But best believe I will never back down from Anyone!!!”

17 November 2014 - 05:51 PM

In the video, “El Patron” Alberto Del Rio talks with Bill Apter of 1wrestling.com at Signamania this Saturday afternoon, just hours before his surprise House of Hardcore appearance.

Del Rio says he’s being treated very well in Mexico with AAA. Del Rio said he’s about to sign with two companies that have TV deals but it won’t be until January.

-----------------------------------

It was reported several months back that a top MMA name had been training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

According to F4Wonline.com, former UFC fighter Stephan Bonnar was training at the Performance Center for his Bellator MMA debut, which happened this past weekend and saw Bonnar lose to Tito Ortiz by split decision.

– Santino Marella was present for the fourth BattleArts shoot fighting show at his BattleArts Academy in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada this weekend. -----------------------------------

Tonight’s WWE RAW takes place from the Berglund Center Coliseum in Roanoke, Virginia. Tonight’s show is the final RAW before Survivor Series so we should get new matches announced.

Stars advertised for tonight’s show include John Cena, Bray Wyatt, Seth Rollins, Triple H, Kane and Dean Ambrose. Advertised locally is Cena and Ambrose vs. Rollins and Wyatt.

The only item confirmed for tonight’s show is guest host Grumpy Cat.

WWE is focusing on the following points for tonight:

* Where does Ryback go from here?

* How will Dean Ambrose retaliate against Bray Wyatt?

* Is Nikki Bella playing with fire?

* Is this The Authority’s final RAW?

* Will guest star Grumpy Cat actually enjoy herself?

---------------------------------------------------

First day ticket sales for WrestleMania were very strong but they did not sell out of the ticket allotment.

$35 tickets were going for $80 on the secondary market. WrestleMania tickets on the secondary market are the most expensive they’ve been in recent years but the original ticket prices are also the highest for any show in wrestling history.

--------------------------------------------------

Diamond Dallas Page and Mick Foley were hanging out at The Accountability Crib in Atlanta this weekend.

Foley did a DDP Yoga session while he was in the house. DDP and Jake Roberts later joined Foley on stage at his one-man show in Atlanta.
