Anniversary

11 March 2016 - 09:31 PM

I kind of don't think it's a big deal, but I don't wanna be a butt and not do it if it's, like, considered nice, so there we go. Three years on here. Cool cool.

I love Alex, Jet, Oldsie, Amir, Crazy and I'm probably forgetting a few people so sorry, no disrespect meant at all. Hope the forum thrives and gives members a plattform to talk on for years to come. :)

Have a good ass weekend!

Aphantasia - You can't imagine things.

19 August 2015 - 12:44 PM

FULL ARTICLE HERE: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/23/science/aphantasia-minds-eye-blind.html?_r=0

Certain people, researchers have discovered, can’t summon up mental images — it’s as if their mind’s eye is blind. This month in the journal Cortex, the condition received a name: aphantasia, based on the Greek word phantasia, which Aristotle used to describe the power that presents visual imagery to our minds.

Yooooo, this is super interesting. Thought this would make an interesting topic. Pretty sick discovery.

To be honest, I never really realized people could actually see proper scenes with really vibrant color and stuff, and like, truely mentally see and move in 'thoughts' so to speak. I always thought it was more of a figure of speech. I think I might actually have this, at least to some degree, cause for me, if I try to envision things, it's not really working properly, I think. I can't really compare obviously, but yeah.

Your favorite movies of ALL time?

23 July 2015 - 09:18 AM

So I thought this could be a cool topic. I've just seen this on another forum I go to every now and then. Everyone made their top 25. They actually added points and stuff, but I'm not really too keen on competition. Just thought it might be interesting to see everyone's picks and maybe get some recommendations and discussion going.

Also no serious flaming, pls, everyone has their taste, so let's be civil.

READ!

I know political/religious topics aren't exactly allowed on here (Which I personally disagree with tbh, but that's a different issue.) but let's show the admins that we can discuss these things civilized. "How?" you may ask. Well, it's easy, my friend. Let's do something simple for starters.

This site:

http://www.isidewith.com/

asks you a plethora of questions concerning U.S. American politics and ideas. It then compares your answers with the views and answers of the current candidates. This should be a good first step because a.) sharing results doesn't require backing of your opinion, so noone will get attacked and b.) I imagine that most people have a basic idea about American politics, since they're such a steady and relevant part of every country's news.

Remember, you can do this for fun, even if you're not American and most importantly: Behave! Let's show class and progress this forum.

Here are my results:

I side with Bernie Sanders on most 2016 Presidential Election issues

83%

on social, domestic policy, economic, immigration, healthcare, environmental, and education issues.

Your ideology...YouLeft-Wing

Your political beliefs would be considered moderately Left-Wing on an ideological scale, meaning you tend to support policies that promote social and economic equality.
