Trish Stratus Teases Tag Team Match With Lita Against Bella Twins

06 September 2015 - 03:23 PM

Its been four long years since the WWE Universe saw Trish Stratus compete in the squared circle, with her last match taking place during an airing of Monday Night Raw on April 4, 2011 the night after WrestleMania 27.

That stretch has even been longer for Lita, who had her Retirement match against Mickie James for the WWE Womens Championship at the Survivor Series pay-per-view in 2006. Sure, she competed against Heath Slater during the Raw 1000 episode in 2012, as well.

There have been teases in the past that Trish and Lita may reunite in the future for one last hurrah, with a possible tag bout at WrestleMania against Nikki and Brie Bella possibly being what brings them back into the fold.

Topps will be releasing WWE Undisputed later this year, which is a booklet of cards featuring one autograph per package. A prototype image was recently revealed, showing Trish and Lita next to The Bella Twins:

Trish made the following comment about the image on social media: You know, I gotta hand it to Topps. For months, during the Team Bestie Tour, Amy and I heard so many questions about Besties vs. Bellas. This preview of what it would look like if we squared off in a tag team match certainly has me thinking

This isnt the first time the WWE Hall of Famer has teased a match like this, as she told Scott Fishman of the Miami Herald earlier in the year that Team Bestie could always reunite for a brawl with Nikki and Brie if need be.

I dont mind an easy win, Trish said. I think the idea is interesting. Team Bestie is up for anything. If the fans want it, who knows? When Amy [Lita] and I were working against each other, we were having fantastic matches because we knew each others motions and body movements. I think as a team we could utilize that same chemistry, but channel it in a different way.

Vince Russo Writes New Blog Regarding Future Of iMPACT! Wrestling

06 September 2015 - 10:56 AM

Vince Russo has posted a new blog, discussing the future of TNA. See what he had to say below

For months, we have all been reading the stories concerning the rumors that Destination America is going to be opting out of their two-year deal with IMPACT WRESTLING come the end of September. The truth is that more people are talking about that subject matter these days, far more than they are talking about the TNA product itself. Why? Its simple. TNA losing their television contract will have a major impact on the entire wrestling industry as a whole, while their current product is just the same old, uninteresting, collar-n-elbow lock-up dribble that theyve been producing for quite some time now.

This column, however, isnt about the current state of TNA, quite frankly because there is zero interest on my part to discuss something that is just not worth discussing. Having worked there, the way the entire Jeff Jarrett Global Wrestling Force take-over has been handled is perhaps the single-worst missed opportunity I have ever witnessed in the history of the business. While there is so much reality meat on the bone concerning the Jarrett-Carter history, how those involved in creative could just fail back on a typical rasslin storyline is an absolute sham and embarrassment. No, a lack of creative talent is really what it is.

No, this column is about what TNA ManagementDixie Carter & John Gaburickmay indeed know about the future of their company, that they are not sharing with those that are depending on its survival to make a living. After the holiday, we are merely three weeks from the companys possible extinctionand, those who have made TNA for well over the last decadeare standing in the dark with not even a pen light.

To methat sucks. That sucks because I have survived the deceit, and dishonesty of TNA owner Dixie Carter over the years, and trust me, those situations have left deep scars that to this day have not properly healed. The hiring of Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff behind my back while Matt Conway and myself were doing everything possible to try to get the company on track by utilizing their young stars to their fullest potential was one thing, but asking me to lie to others about my employment there was a totally different story. But, that simply is how Dixie has done business over the years, and this is what you callwhen your past mistakes catch up with you, as a failure to try and correct them.

Three weeks awayboth TNA and Destination America both know what the future isits business they havebut, why it is being kept a big secret is beyond me. ORIS IT? Look, if the news was good, the odds are that there would be champagne popping in Nashville at this very moment, but theres not, theres total silence. With four shows running through the end of this month left in the can, TNA should have already announced where their next set of TV tapings are going to be held in an effort to fill the seatsbut, they havent. To me, that may speak volumes. If the news were good you think the pat on the back of endorsement would have come from the DA execs by nowbut it hasntor else we would all know about it.

Look, Im not a psychic, I dont have an inside track, as a matter of fact there is no factual basis to any of my thoughts herejust speculationhowever, if Dixie Carter and John Gaburick know the future of every man and woman in that company who works for them and theyre not talkingshame on them. Those people deserve better. The truth is always a good place to start whether the news is good . . . or bad. But, again, based on my experience truth was always the best kept secret in TNA, and quite frankly why should that change now?

Jim Ross Comments On Snuka, Offers Advice To Both Snuka And Hogan

06 September 2015 - 09:10 AM

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is back with another blog entry at jrsbarbq.com. This week, Ross discussed the latest charges laid against Superfly Jimmy Snuka, as well as offering some advice to The Immortal Hulk Hogan:

Jimmy Snuka

The Jimmy Snuka alleged murder of his former lady friend three decades ago is going to continue to garner ample publicity. WWE has separated themselves from the Hall of Famer which is really the only thing that they could do in this instance. Jimmy is 72, has stomach cancer and is allegedly battling dementia which may equate to a very unique trial and legal process before all is said and done. Id assume he will also have to have a public defender as his attorney as the State attempts to prove that Snuka his lady friend decades ago. I could see Snuka declared unfit to stand trial which would outrage many who have a vested interest in the case and subsequent trial that is if it actually goes to trial.

Hulk Hogan

If I was advising Hulk Hogan Id suggest him to lay low and let things settle down. He does deserve forgiveness, as we all do, if hes sincere and I want to believe that Hulk is sincere but trying to promote himself to have one more match is not advisable. Just my two cents.

I agree, I don't think constantly clamouring on and on for one more match will help Hogan's chances for acceptance.
