Need ideas for a non-generic, non-typical Goldberg returns storyline

So I know there will literally be a crap ton of these type of stories which is why I'm here. I want to make mine unique. I do have experience in Story designer and I do know the ins and outs of it, the only difference is that I record and edit them for YouTube to make them look more professional and well done.

I don't want mine to go along the routes of a typical Cena vs Goldberg, Ryback vs Goldberg, Goldberg breaking the streak, Goldberg destroys The Shield or Goldberg winning a world title immediately. I want my Goldberg returns storyline to still portray him as the powerhouse he truly is but not have him be in the main event right away.

I do want him to go for a title though, it can be a defunct title (as in hardcore, European, etc) or a mid-card title.

My ideal beginning scenario for him returning is the day after a pay-per-view and a champion has just successfully defended their title:

-The champion is in the ring boasting about how he dominated his opponent last night who was certainly a viable threat to his title reign.

He goes on to say that he is the best (insert title here) champion in WWE history and how no one in the locker room, no wrestler alive or dead, no wrestler active or retired could beat him.

-He insults the fans and everyone in the back and says that he dares anybody backstage to come out and face him man to man.

-As he's saying that sentence, Goldberg's music would hit and he would stare at the titantron. The scene would then cut to backstage with Goldberg coming out of the locker room and making his way to the arena amidst chants of his name.

-He gets onto the stage and does his thing with the pyro and as he's walking down the ramp.

-When he reaches a certain point, it would transition into gameplay and he would run into the ring, spear his opponent and (assuming he has a winning animation, which he should) it would cut into his victory scene. All this happens while his music is still playing.

-It would then go into the backstage area again where the champions two allies (again, could be anybody just like the champion) are freaking out and leave off screen with the show ending there and the shows end logo being shown on a black screen.

This is how I would want to start it off. I would love if people could give me some of their original ideas and give their opinions on everything here. It would be much appreciated and very helpful because as I said before, I want this story to be as original and unpredictable as possible. I do not want it to be like what all the other "Goldberg Returns" storylines will be.

It will also not be a short storyline, it would most likely be a short series that, if relatively well liked, would continue for a while.

I'd say Goldberg v Punk would be the most logical first step imo, considering the whole Heyman situation and all.

Punk would have the Intercontinental Championship, or US championship, the titles Goldberg never got and both are MC titles. As for an ally, that would have to be decided somehow.

The ally would need to be a somewhat believable mid-card heel that could logically team with Heyman & Punk and could also hold his own against Goldberg in a match but ultimately only win with assistance or by cheating in some way. I want the people that Goldberg takes down to be a loose group/team just like all Paul Heyman guys sort of are. It could be just about anybody in the game, the story could cross era boundaries because I'm kind of good at tying it in as long as it isn't too extreme.

Well, if I could make a suggestion for Punk's teammate, if you're going with Punk and Heyman, I would suggest Barrett. I, personally, could see Wade as a Paul Heyman guy, especially with his brawling background, and he is a mid-card heel.

You could start in a flashback to WM XX and then flash forward to 2013 and have him take out the shield

I like the flashback idea, it's actually really good but I already said why I don't want to touch the shield thing with a ten foot pole, at least not for a while.
