According to a live correspondent, Matt Hardy defeated EC3 in a Last Man Standing Match at the TNA Impact Wrestling tapings tonight to become the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

Matt Hardy won the match when Tyrus turned on EC3 and sided with Hardy, who also turned heel.

This marks the first time EC3 has officially lost a TNA match.

The title change will air on a future episode of Impact Wrestling.

Only time will tell if they drew the right card, imo, this was premature and why hardy? Why matt beer-belly hardy?

So... EC3 won some days ago the world title after a return just to lose it now to Matt Hardy. Well, Seth Rollins held the USA Championship for more than some days. xD But I hope that Matt will look great as a champion.

I prefer Ethan as the champ but we will see how it goes.

Yeah that makes zero sense to me. From what I've read, it sounds like the last few motnhs were completely pointless, if they wanted Matt to have the belt then they should have had him win the thing.

At this point they look more stupid than WWE. I mean, WWE made people "to bite" that Roman will be a great champion. TNA made Matt Hardy to look just stupid in this situation. I hope that somehow Matt will look great in the future. The heat for him on internet(at least on Facebook) is extremely huge, you can't imagine.
