Several insider sources have indicated WWE is debuting a new WWE Women’s Championship belt on RAW the night after WrestleMania.

The WWE Diva’s Championship is dead. Long live the WWE Women’s Championship.

On Raw, the night after WrestleMania, WWE is set to rebrand their Divas Division as the Women’s Division complete with a brand new championship. This Monday will see WWE finally address the giant pink butterfly in the room, as fans and the divas themselves finally get their wish regarding a rebrand. An issue that has been flagged since the start of the “Divas Revolution”, allowing the division to become more legitimate and respected. More akin to NXT’s Women’s Division.

The title was commissioned a little over a month ago. Unlike the male counterpart, the side plates will not be interchangeable.

Several former WWE divas, and current WWE diva Charlotte have been especially vocal about replacing the Divas Championship with a new WWE Women’s Championship and renaming their division from “Divas division” to “Women’s Division”

Confirmed by several inside sources (who have been correct in the past), the championship bares a very similar resemblance to the current WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The championship will be smaller in size than its male counterpart and will instead be set on a white leather strap, with a red background behind the WWE logo.

As if the Triple Threat on Sunday at WrestleMania didn’t look enticing enough, either Charlotte, Becky Lynch or Sasha Banks will have the opportunity to rid the WWE of the Divas Championship. They will usher in the new WWE Women’s Championship, setting an entirely new tone for the division. We at TWM expect the match to be a potential show-stealer and think it would be the perfect platform to change the perception of the division.

The DIVAS complaining about this change need to stfu, it should have never been renamed to the Divas Division period..

LMFAO, are you serious? THIS will be the new title? They need to come back with the old Women`s title. THAT was a real title. As for the idea of changing back to "Women`s Division" I like it.

Awesome idea but the design is way too similar. Doesn't seem very legit. 

Well...I would say "its about damn time!", but I think i'll wait and see what happens before I get too excited. And it goes to show how 'Creative' they are, with that 'new' belt design.

Well, all I have to say is that this new is:

I agree the belt design is too similar to the WHC, but it's better than the Diva's Championship. At least they didn't make the strap pink, though. The rebrand is definitely a welcomed change with the great matches that the women have been putting on lately. It's just too bad most of WWE's former women wrestlers (Beth Phoenix, Molly Holly, etc.) have since retired. It would be great to see them back.

The proper first step towards making the division relevant again. Now just make sure deadwood like Tamina, Alicia Fox, Summer Rae, Brie and Nikki get nowhere near it, ever again (yes, I know it isn't happening). Much needed and welcomed change regardless.

I think Tamina can still be "salvaged" if they stop making her play second fiddle to Naomi, but otherwise I agree. With Daniel Bryan's recent retirement, I have suspicions that Brie may call it quits sooner rather than later. Same with Nikki and her neck injury. They always have The Bella Show, I mean, Total Divas to fall back on.

Maybe they should keep the Diva's title around just for them so they can have a belt to signify who has the best shoes, purse, or least visible tan lines?
 

The design of the new Women's Title is still better than that atrocious Bratz doll accessory-looking piece of shit.

Even thou it's a basic recoloring of the WWE title it can be taken WAY more seriously as a top tier title now since they finally ditched that toy ass belt, just sucks they decided to have Charlotte being the 1st champion, it as as bad as having Michelle McCool being the 21st DIVAs champion >_<
