Certain CAWs require the use of the Diva template to get a better look. Take Mewtwo or Renamon, for example.
Mewtwo, of course, is the famous (or infamous) psychic-type Pokemon featured in the first official Pokemon movie. His appearance is that of a slightly humanoid, bipedal feline creature, with a slightly kangaroo-ish vibe (due to the rather large, thick tail, long feet, and tiptoed stance).
Renamon is a yellow fox-like Digimon, who has yellow fur and a white abdomen. Like Mewtwo, she stands on two legs, in a tiptoed stance.
To achieve the proper hip curvature and roundness of the abdomen, one would need to use the Diva template, breasts and all.
To hide the breasts, however (Mewtwo and Renamon are both flat-chested), one needs a particular upper-body piece of clothing, which resembles a blank green football jersey. This can be made pure white, perfect for Mewtwo.
However, for Renamon, the transparency of the top has to be put into play--drop the transparency to zero (invisible), and the flat-chested look should still remain.
I have yet to put this theory to the test, but seeing as how the garment flattens the Diva template's chest, it should still do the same when rendered "invisible".
If this theory holds, I could use this same trick to build a near-perfect Midna Imp CAW.
Please provide feedback as to whether this theory is true or not.
A hint: you will NOT be able to simply zero out the transparency in-game. You will need to use a cheat device with memory editor, such as CWCheat or TempAR.
I believe the transparency byte for each layer is immediately after the two color-related bytes. It is usually set at FF (fully opaque).
UPDATE: I can confirm that this does indeed work, and replaces the breasts with a flat male chest (when using Size option 6/6--the really ripped-looking one). Another cool transparency trick involves making certain pairs of pants invisible--the pants reshape the CAW's lower body, and this still applies when the pants are made invisible. This can be used to round out the abdominal area of certain fantasy CAWs, and eliminate that annoying masculine "package" that often shows up when you make the waist too deep.
CAWs this "invisible pants" effect works well for include several Pokemon (Pikachu, Raichu, Mew, and Lugia, among others), Digimon (such as Agumon, Veemon and Guilmon), dragons, and maybe even Sonic characters (such as the Creepypasta "mascot", Sonic.exe).
Other items that, if made invisible, and thus given a wider variety of uses, include the cat paws, cat feet and masks. You can also make the eyebrows, eyelashes, lips and even teeth invisible (I advise against that last one--makes the CAW look like they need a pair of dentures! LOL). This makes creating certain CAWs easier, as you no longer need to worry about matching the color of the eyelashes, eyebrows and lips to the CAW's skin color (say, for a Mew CAW).
A more advanced layer-modification option is the replacement of the eyebrow, eyelash and lip layers with other, non-logo layers (such as gloves, horns, pants, and shoes). Make sure that you have at least eight layers when finished with your CAW, otherwise the game will lock up when attempting to save the CAW, and whenever you attempt to use the corrupted CAW in a match/RTWM mode/Storyline mode.
Also, it is relatively easy to bestow a "tail" upon a CAW: just use certain tail-shaped logos on his/her backside, where a tail would normally be. Of course, a combination of logos may be required to complete the look of a tail (say, in the creation of a Birdo CAW--you'd need two diagonal lines, or the hollow triangle and a large opaque circle the same color as Birdo's skin). You may also need to hack the logos to be larger than the game normally allows. If you "max out" the size of the logo in-game, there will be a pair of 03's toward the end of the list of addresses associated for that logo. I suggest only using values as high as 0A (except for letters/symbols), because logos made larger than this will often show distortions not normally seen at lower sizes (such as the lower end of a circle appearing to have been cut out).
