According to a rumor from Cageside Seats, it seems like Dean Ambrose, Big Show, Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio and Seth Rollins may have been re-scanned for WWE 2K17. Seth Rollins is currently out of action due to an injury, so it makes sense to bring him in for re-scanning. The other four superstars actually missed a SmackDown taping for the re-scanning, so it’s clear that the WWE is taking the newest installment of the series seriously.

If the rumor is true, these five superstars, along with Bray Wyatt and Brie Bella, have been re-scanned for the game. Alberto Del Rio actually missed last year’s game, due to his firing after a backstage incident, so a re-scanning might be needed. Ironically, he returned to the company a few days before WWE 2K16 came out, defeating John Cena for the US Championship during the 2015 Hell in a Cell event.

Think they just like to scan people every year for some reason. It's a good thing for sure, I just don't see the point. Unless they upgraded their cameras or something.

not necesserily, they said they scan people so they don't have to do it in the future but if they scanned rollins obviously that means we will get a black haired model.

like i said before. they scan people just so they can have them scanned for future games.

but i would think that people like Rollins were rescanned to update their models. alot of people bitched about rollins still having the 2014 look last year so it's warranted.

I think that every person they are scanning so far is to update their models though.

That's a point, other than Dean, those guys scans were a bit off looking.

as far as i know. atleast dating back to 2k14. wwe never lets the game devs/publishers (the publishers usually meet with wwe to discuss plans for the roster) know details about planned returns.  In WWE12 when jericho returned. THQ tried to get Jericho as DLC after he actually appeared back on television and jericho turned it down questioning why he wasn't in the game from the start so i assume that hasn't changed. could be wrong though

they may seem a bit off now but i think considering the equipment they may have used they seemed okay to me (not counting the divas of course lol)

No, the arenas are based on the previous year, the overall game is based on the present otherwise it wouldn't be WWE 2K17 with the current Champions now would it?

No, the arenas are based on the previous year, the overall game is based on the present otherwise it wouldn't be WWE 2K17 with the current Champions now would it?

 

no numb nuts, the entire game is based on the previous year. Hence why the Showcase was based on the 2015 HOF and not 2016.  when 2k17 comes out if there is a HOF Showcase again it will be based on the 2016 HOF and not 2017.

hence why Taker's hair is the WM 31 Length and not WM 32. the game is covering from WM 31 - WM 32.

but yeah i understand what you mean now. but i was talking about people like Seth Rollins that were scanned but they just used his old 2k15 model. same with 4HW all 4 of them were scanned but weren't used. that's what started the whole 4HW speculation last year. what i was saying is that just cause someone gets scanned doesn't necessarily mean they'll use that attire in the games. But to be honest right now they need to stop focusing so much on the roster and under the hood like universe, gameplay, the submission system adding match types and match creator back in. you know things that help expand the game.  an 140+ roster is great but it's pointless if the game is full of problems and missing matches/modes
