Paul George and the Indiana Pacers may have been knocked out of the first round of the NBA playoffs thanks to Demar DeRozan and the Toronto Raptors, but there's no question that he's one of the best players in the league, landing the cover of 2K's NBA2K17.

NBA2K17 marks the first time the power forward, who also played on the 2017 All-Star team in February, has been featured by himself on the cover of an NBA 2K game. Previously, George was on the cover of 2K's MyNBA2K16's companion app and was a guest commentator at the NBA2K16 Road to the Finals competition, which took place on June 1 last year.

"I have been playing NBA2K as long as I can remember, and to be honored as cover athlete of NBA2K17 is a blessing and vote of confidence that my hard work on and off the court has paid off," said George.

Alongside announcing George as the cover star, 2K confirmed that Early Tip-Off Weekend would return to the series, letting players get their hands on the full game as of Sept. 16, four days prior to release.
Fans who pre-order The Standard Edition will get the game four days early, but they will also receive 5,000 Virtual Currency, a MyTEAM bundle guaranteed to include a George Free Agent card and more to be revealed later.

NBA2K17 will be released on Sept. 20 for PlayStation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. The standard edition, which features George on the cover, will be available for $59.99. 2K also confirmed, however, that a special edition Kobe Bryant version, which celebrates the iconic player's last season in the NBA, will be made available for $79.99 on PS4 and Xbox One.
