On the previous thread we talked about the Best Prospects right now, young players that have great potential to be one of the best in the world, but we'll never know if because of an injury-plagued career or another reason(indiscipline; it just didn't work out) they will never fulfil their potential, that's why I made this thread to ask you guys, what players never fulfilled their potential?

Not exactly all players that never fulfilled their potential have to be old prospects, they can always be players with a huge price tag on their name that were expected to perform(an example would be Fernando Torres for Chelsea) that was arguably one of the best strikers in the world for Liverpool and so far he has been average for Chelsea compared to how he used to play.

My picks:

Football

  • Robinho
  • Ricardo Quaresma
  • Michael Owen
  • Adriano
  • Alexandre Pato

NBA

  • Tracy McGrady
  • Grant Hill
  • Gerald Green

Pato is still great and can still improve.

I'd say Freddy Adu since he was hyped up to be the next Pele.

Marco Anrautovic could have been the next Ibra. His raw talent is insane, but I doubt he'll ever live up to it since his attitude is terrible.

Dani Pacheco was always great for every youth and reserve team but never showed anything at the top level.

  • Derrick Rose - The knee injuries are going to change him and his career for the rest of his life. He can't be as aggressive as he used to be because that's his play style, and his knees will fuck up again if they do it.
  • Bob Sanders - As a Colts fan, I loved seeing Bob Sanders on the field, but the constant injuries also hurt his career, and he could've been bigger than he was if he wasn't injured so often because he was a great safety.
  • Jake Locker - He was touted as a next good QB and franchise option for the Titans, but he's been hurt constantly and that hurts his numbers, which aren't that great.

Ricky Rubio, that's my man and all, but he needs to become a more dominant point guard even though he is high in steals and makes sexy passes
