It's not a big deal. After MGS V got "Konami'd", I can't be upset by stuff like this anymore.

I have a question for you if kindness would allow you to answer me back ASAP then....what's your opinion about MGS IV Guns of the Patriot because I've had this game for years and haven't played it. I've had a horrible experience when I first played one of these earlier back at a best friend's house due to not knowing how to aim the gun and I got my ass handed to me multiple times and I gave up! XD

P.S. I heard that Hideo Kojima isn't involved anymore! SMH. WTF. FFS. #FATALITY

I loved IV since it was the last tie in to the original I think most hated it cause it was very long and had alot of cutscenes but I enjoyed it

It's sad that kojima is gone. #FOX......DIE!!!!!

have you played V? And IV was the one with the legendary "movie" at the end right?

nah i only played that ground zeros demo type thing that was free for plus about 2 months ago. I can't remember if IV had the movie at the end but that's probably correct since i don't remember sons of liberty or snake eater having any type of movie at the end.  only ones i think i havent played are whatever the one that had raiden in and V. my best friend said he hated the controls in the raiden one so i passed on it lol. But yeah the last one i played was IV.I enjoyed it. I was glad that the ending in MGS 1 was finally revealed to be the one where Meryl survived lol It was a shame you really didn't find out about that till you played IV. Man i wish i still had my PS3 as well i'd get that in a second. MGS IV is dirt cheap now i believe.  In 2011 I think i may have paid like 10$ for it at gamestop lol

I'm a movie watcher at heart so I think I'll enjoy watching some cut scenes here and there. Plus, I first watched a preview of this video game WAY BACK in 06' at a Gamestop down the street from my old high school sometime before graduation (if I remember correctly because I wouldn't have been in that store otherwise). The graphics looked nothing short of amazing and it's 1080p compatible for a PS3! The game didn't become available until 08' and I've had the game purchased and in my collection for a long time but I've never opened the game...there's still plastic wrap on it! LOL.

MGS IV? great game. Metal Gear Solid has a bit of a learning curve, but when you learn, it's a blast. I haven't played that in years and wish I could pick it up again, but I don't have a ps3 anymore.

Konami got pissed at Kojima taking 7 years and using $80 million so they pressured him to finish it. The result is a messy Chapter 2 and no Chapter 3.Ending is fantastic though. They should've just let him finish

WOAH. After all of that work done on the game...who would have guessed how long it would have taken this time around? Then again, imagine how long the time would of been too! A messy Chapter 2 and no Chapter 3 BUT the ending is fantastic so it sort of works out eventually. This reminds me of Paul Walker's involvement in the 'Fast and Furious' series where he died during the filming of the movie but his brothers were able to be used within his place(?) to finish the movie otherwise. It worked out so that's what matters; things could have been worse especially when you think about all the work that was done prior to the last installation in the series. At least I THINK it's the last one but don't quote me on that.

My best friend (the same one I mentioned earlier) also has all the video games too! I think he could add a LOT to this discussion as well. He's not here but I'm glad that I'm not a anti spoiler type of person.....unless we're talking about accidently finding out MAJOR SPOILERS within the movie reviews section on an online movie site about 'The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies' well then THAT'S ANOTHER STORY! D':

I'm not here to start a massive argument or anything, but I really don't see, in retrospect, why it should be a shock that no NXT women are in. There were no NXT women in 2k15. Hell, if not for career mode, NXT people in the game wouldn't even BE a thing, doesn't matter how popular it may seem, it's still developmental.

I'm even more surprised that it didn't happen but I'm most surprised by the intense reaction of the gamers themselves to be completely honest with you.

I would suggest V because it's one of the best games released this year despite shortcomings and ties the series together very well. It's really fun to play too.

I used to be huge into MGS, but although I still play MGS3 from time to time, I'm mostly burned out on the franchise. But MGS V and its sister game turned me off due to all the fictional guns, which annoy me because I'm a firearms enthusiast. Might seem trivial to some, but its a major game breaker for me.

I think MGS2 was my favorite for a very long time. the only part i hated was near the end where you were running around well ya know lol

I enjoyed MGS3 also cause it explains how ocelot started using the Revolver Gun. it pretty much was Naked Snake's suggestion. so yeah i've loved the entire series.

I will tell you a story of when I first found a Playstation next to a large trash bin in the projects long ago. Inside the console there was an original MGS 1 video game but I don't remember ever playing it because it might of been badly scratched but it was odd that someone would just leave it there out in the open. I should of started on the series a long time ago but I wasn't into those sort of games at the time---back cover of MGS 4 says it's copyrighted from 87' and 08' and that's an old game---wow! The fondest memories of playing slightly retro video games was Duke Nukem for the Nintendo 64 at a Tower Records store WAY BEFORE they went bankrupt and Wallgreens bought them out. I had so much fun playing Duke Nukem and blasted the sh*t out of those demons and trolls and whatever nasty vile thing came out of every corner!! It was kickass!

P.S. I will play V if I come around to playing IV and from the looks of it....there's a good chance I will be doing so because it's freakin' 1080p compatible for a PS3!!!

This is probably the reason why I never got into Call of Duty games ^ but what's even funnier is that I've been personally given two exact copies of the same game and never played them. I think I traded them into Gamestop and just got something else! LOL.

call-of-duty-modern-warfare-2-2009-ntsc-

What's even funnier is that I've played Resistance 2 and 3 and those are full of fictional and/or real guns made into hybrid versions I.E. magnum guns with exploding rounds and it didn't kill it for me because there were real guns I.E. Rossmore (it's actually a Mossmore shotgun in real life and I'm going to buy one at my local Big 5 Sporting Goods store down the street) but it had fire rounds.....okay maybe that's not making things better but you get my point! There are elements of reality mixed with fantasy but that shouldn't deter you from having a good time if the game makes up for it.

My issue is that I've heard they have plans for Samoa Joe as a DLC. My issue I take with Bayley and crew not being in the game is that they've been with NXT before so many who are apart of the game.

Anyways. There are ways around it so whatever. But they had an nxt pack last year so I'm confused as to why they might not be in this year unless they're specifically saying "these 4 women won't be sold together." It's still fucked up.

Unless we're talking about Black Ops II and Advanced Warfare, the guns in CoD are all (or at least most) real firearms, just rather inaccurately portrayed. Fictional guns are fine in the right context (like Resistance, as you mentioned), but MGS V is set in the 1980s during the height of the Cold War!

Anyhow, we should probably not discuss this here, as I'd rather the mods not track me down and powerbomb me through a table or something for going off topic. lol

always wanted them to release the MGS Collection on ps4! I want to replay all those great games. Maybe Konami will decide to sell it just to get some money, which they may need.

Cage, I noticed that too. It does take away from the experience a little but I still like the game. Have to admit the ending was great.

RKHT, don't forget they're on two ends of the spectrum. MGS IV is the "end" of the series; Big Boss is old and Solid Snake is aging. MGS V takes place after Snake Eater, Peace Walker, and directly after Ground Zeroes. if you haven't played them or need a refresher use this timeline:

http://metalgeartimeline.com/

Phantom Pain takes place after Big Boss goes into a coma and this timeline doesn't cover the game yet. It helped me out a lot though in figuring out what was going on since I skipped Peace Walker and GZ.

Holy Moly!! I've got to check this out because I'd like to see this whole thing unravel so that I can appreciate all the stories that I missed out on! Now this looks like it'll be a real teaser since I haven't played any of the games thoroughly to know what I've been missing out on this whole time. I've seen some levels and my friend play them and even I've tried and failed miserably but this looks like this could be my second shot at making another comeback on a huge series. This could work for me! Thank you so much!!! :-D

LOL.

I definitely need to play the games and get a better understanding of why these games were so fun! I love realism but I love fantasy too! I'm a professional wrestling gamer and that pretty much sums it all up! Nothing about that last sentence is based on reality because if you think about it....we're basically roleplaying other people within a video game that allows you to do the impossible nonstop (maybe that changes if you add a stamina meter) until someone wins the match and even then...there's no guarantee you won't glitch into another Matrix and find yourself glued inside the ring with your limbs stretched out like Dhalsim from Street Fighter! LMAO.

P.S. that same friend had shown me a boss fight on MGS (I can't remember which one or what game anymore) and different Easter eggs you can find in the game within MGS which make it really entertaining I.E. posters in the lockers, etc.

Speaking of boss fights....there was a massive terminator copycat boss in a Mass Effect video game if I'm correct! I think the only other member here that can verify this is The Governor! I think he's a big fan of the series too! That boss is MASSIVE and INTIMIDATING like Gary Strydom who's like the Big Poppa Pump of bodybuilding yore but I'm less convinced that he can stack up against the current ones now....but he's still pretty damn BIG! :o

I would suggest V because it's one of the best games released this year despite shortcomings and ties the series together very well. It's really fun to play too.

that's good to hear. i may try it out.I just got MKX from gamefly and i guess that game is going back cause i can't even get story mode to unlock. it's in red and i can't select it at all.

I enjoyed MGS3 also cause it explains how ocelot started using the Revolver Gun. it pretty much was Naked Snake's suggestion. so yeah i've loved the entire series.

always wanted them to release the MGS Collection on ps4!

It helped me out a lot though in figuring out what was going on since I skipped Peace Walker and GZ.

i would love it if they did that.  So basically it's MGS3, Peace Walker, Ground Zeroes and then V? that's cool. it makes sense too.

yup. MGS 3, Peace Walker, GZ, V, MG 1, 2, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Metal Gear Solid Rising. How the hell did Kojima keep this series together? it's crazy.

LOL wait was kojima doing the original Metal gear 1 and 2? I wasn't aware he did that i actually thought he started with Solid 1. Wow that's an effing milestone right there!  That's even crazier than Resident Evil's Timelines.. I think RE went Zero, 1,3,2,3, CVX, 4, 5,6, RE Rev 1 RE Rev 2. the kicker with RE though was RE 3 was a day before and after 2. that's why i listed RE 3 twice lol. that's crazy though. one of these days i want a massive Metal Gear Anthology Collection. that covers everything.  And that was the other Metal Gear i didn't play: Peace Walker. and there was another on PSP i think it was an interactive comic or card game or something that came out before Peace walker.

Yeah, he's done every Metal Gear. From 87 to 2015! Almost 30 years of Metal Gear. There NEEDS to bean Anthology released on NextGen. There's a collection on PS3/360 but Konami needs to release this since Metal Gear is over now. It would be a great tribute and perfect way for others to play the series without tracking down each game. And I would love to replay Snake Eater!

yeah i would prefer they pulled a capcom and completely remastered MGS 1. since that was done on PS1. i never played twin snakes which essentially was supposed to be MGS1 remade for Gamecube/Xbox original but yeah I had no idea he had been around that long! LOL and yeah. it's funny how a PSX Underground Subscription/Demo is how i got into Metal Gear Solid series as well as Dino Crisis and Syphon Filter.  Good times.
