TheSmackDownHotel just celebrated its 5 year-anniversary (can you believe it?), and we thought it was the perfect time to establish the official SDH Hall of Fame, a Special Group that recognizes the most notable members in the history of the forum.
From now on, every year in May, the SDH Hall of Fame will see the induction of a few selected Staff members, VIPs or Supporters that have played an important role in the community.
The SDH Hall of Famers will also receive a dedicated HOF award that they will always be able to keep and display should they return to the active Supporters/VIPs group in the future.
But without any further ado, let's find out who made it into the very first class of the SDH Hall of Fame!
Sir Vee Wells (Vee Is Me)
In the early stage of discussions we had regarding whom should be inducted into the inaugural SDH Hall of Fame, we all agreed with one name - Vee.
An SDH original, Vee joined the staff team as a Moderator after only 5 months and then became one of SDH's longest serving Administrators, spanning from March of 2011 to April 2013.
Often an outspoken member and famous for his "words of wisdom", Vee quickly gained respect from his peers and stamped his authority on the forum in the Admin role. Vee's contributions to the forum have not been forgotten; he worked closely with the owners, helping Andy & Simone build the foundation of the great forum we are familiar with now.
Overall Vee provided secure stability as an Administrator, effectively running the forum at times should it be required. Always serving as a figure who people genuinely looked up to and respected, Vee made interesting and engaging contributions throughout the forum, spreading the word of wit and wisdom through thought-provoking posts and topics.
Therefore, we are pleased and honoured to induct Sir Vee Wells (Vee is Me) into the 2015 SmackDown Hotel Hall of Fame!
angelbreak joined SDH on its very first day (May 10, 2010) and he became one the very first Moderators of the forum when he was added to the staff team in July of 2010, being very active and dedicated during his stint in the position.
He hasn't been here in years, but we believe his contributions helped to get the SDH from off the ground, playing a role in getting it to where it is today, and it's only fitting for him to land a spot in the very first class of the SDH Hall of Fame.
UberHaxorNova
Not many of you might know about this, but Nova, one of the most popular gaming youtubers with currently ~3 million subscribers, was also one of the very first ever members of the VIP Group of SDH.
As a huge fan of wrestling and WWE Games, he joined SDH in October 2010 and became a VIP two months later in December 2010. And while he was getting his first big break on Youtube with his hilarious commentaries of the SVR2011 Road To WrestleMania, he helped Andy with a couple of SDH projects for the website and he was promoting and advertising the SDH forum on his videos, both on his own channel and on his Machinima uploads. At one point he also uploaded one of his videos to our youtube channel.
Unfortunately he hasn't been seen posting on SDH since early 2011, but we feel like his initial presence and contributions to the site warrant him the induction into the SDH Hall of Fame!
Congratulations to the first 3 inductees, and stay tuned for another cool surprise for all of you coming very soon!
