WWE 2K25's Update 1.25 patch introduced several new playable characters for gamers to unlock. However, Bill Goldberg and Nikki Bella are available via a less-than-usual method. Instead of being DLC that players can purchase via their respective game stores, these two returning superstars are instead made playable via The Island. That means old-gen versions of WWE 2K25 cannot unlock Goldberg and Nikki Bella just yet. As of this recent patch, only PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 players can unlock these two stars.
This WWE 2K25 guide will explain how players can unlock these two wrestlers. It is vital to note that 50,000 VC is required. If you do not have that much VC, then you must either grind for it on The Island or purchase some VC with real-life money. Unlocking Goldberg and Nikki Bella via The Island will allow you to use them in regular offline matches and other related game modes.
How To Unlock Goldberg and Nikki Bella in WWE 2K25's The Island
First off, you need to boot up The Island game mode in WWE 2K25. As mentioned before, old-gen consoles (including PC) cannot access The Island; thus, they cannot unlock Goldberg and Nikki Bella just yet as of the Attitude Era DLC update. If you're on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or the Nintendo Switch 2, then here is what you do:
- Boot Up The Island.
- Enter the Hall of Legends. If you don't know where that location is, here is how you can find it. Once you're in the usual spawn point for The Island, look for the giant golden Roman Reigns statue. Head in that direction. You should notice the Hall of Legends is on the left side, partially obscured by trees from the initial spawn point. You can then head up to the front doors (where the floating green cross icon is) to get a prompt to enter the Hall of Legends.
- Bill Goldberg and Nikki Bella are waiting a few feet in front of you when you spawn in the Hall of Legends. If there are too many players in this area, you can find these two unlockable superstars by looking for the rotating yellow hexagon above their heads, since they're part of A Legendary Grand Opening quest.
- Approach Goldberg and Nikki Bella, then try to speak with them.
- You'll get a prompt telling you to "Purchase Hall of Legends." Select Yes.
- Select the right-hand option where you see the two wrestlers you're looking to unlock.
- Confirm the purchase of the Hall of Legends Expansion for 50,000 VC.
After purchasing the DLC, talk to Goldberg and Nikki Bella again.
After some dialogue occurs, you'll eventually unlock them (alongside their relevant banners and XP for The Island). You don't have to complete the entire quest chain to unlock them (other Island quests and chapters aren't needed, either). Use these two superstars as you see fit from this point forward. How to get VC in WWE 2K25
Since this DLC isn't available through the ordinary Season Pass, some players might not have the VC required to unlock Goldberg and Nikki Bella in WWE 2K25. There are a few ways to get VC in WWE 2K25:
- Purchase VC as a microtransaction via the in-game store. Prices will vary from region to region, with the above screenshot being taken from the USA.
- Complete The Island quests. You only get about 150 VC per match, so this method is far slower than outright purchasing the VC. Still, you can fight other players and also have the other character slots for grinding quests in The Island.
- Use a Locker Code in MyFaction. Note that not all Locker Codes give VC. Some do, but you need to keep in mind that Locker Codes can expire. Check out a recent list of available Locker Codes to use to see what you can enter.
Note that you should already have more than enough VC by default if you purchased the Bloodline Edition of WWE 2K25 when the game first came out. If you have already spent the VC (or didn't get the Bloodline Edition), then the above methods may help you acquire more VC. MyFaction's VC is the same as The Island's VC, so be careful how you spend it.
