Juggalo Championship Wrestling is a Indie and Hardcore pro wrestling promotion operating in the United States, based in Detroit, Michigan, USA.
The JUGGALO CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING promotion was founded on December 19, 1999 by The Insane Clown Posse (Violent J & Shaggy 2 Dope).
Fans of wrestling from a young age, Juggalo Championshit Wrestling (JCW) has its origins in the 1990s hardcore wrestling scene, fresh off the rap duo’s run in the WWF. They had previous promoting experience through their Strangle-Mania Live show of 1997, and the canceled Hellfire Wrestling tour of 1998-99.
JCW received mainstream exposure through being promoted on WCW television, and in its early years, relied on parodies of wrestling legends and rap talent. JCW would become the second highest grossing promotion in the USA in 2002, supported by the cult following of ICP fans (Juggalos).
In 2007, upon changing their name to Juggalo Championship Wrestling, the promotion would solidify itself into the more traditional independent wrestling scene. In 2010, they would launch the JCW Wrestling School, under trainer Kevin Canady. To this day, the company remains a fixture of the hardcore wrestling scene, regularly hosting PPV events such as the annual Bloodymania show.
