DDT Pro-Wrestling is a Indie and Hardcore pro wrestling promotion based in Tokyo, Japan.
The DDT promotion was founded on January 31, 1997 by Shintaro Muto, Sanshiro Takagi, Kyohei Mikami, Kazushige Nosawa.
Originally named Dramatic Dream Team until 2004, it was managed by Shoichi Ichimiya until December 2005 when Sanshiro Takagi took over as president. In 2017, DDT was acquired by CyberAgent, with Takagi remaining president and Takahiro Yamauchi becoming the new director.
Known for its unique blend of sports entertainment and puroresu, DDT often parodies WWE with over-the-top gimmicks and creative match types. Its biggest annual event is Peter Pan, held since 2009. DDT's matches mix various styles, including Japanese lucharesu, shoot-style, hardcore brawling, and comedy, with notable matches such as the "Office Deathmatch" and the "Silence Match."
In January 2020, CyberAgent purchased Pro Wrestling Noah, integrating its operations into DDT's streaming service, Wrestle Universe.
