This title is for Middleweight division wrestlers, with weight limit between 87 kg (192 lb) to 105 kg (231 lb)

The IWC World Middleweight Championship was retired on December 31, 1995.

A similar championship, the IWAS Light Heavyweight Championship, has been later introduced, which does not share the lineage with this title.
