For many years, Robinson trained at the infamous "Snake Pit" in Wigan, England, a British equivalent to the Hart Dungeon. It was here where he learned and taught others catch/shoot wrestling.
Billy Robinson was inducted in the NJPW Greatest 18 Club in 1990 and in the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2011 as part of the International wing.
