WWE 2K22 Update 1.17. Patch Notes for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC

A new Title Update for WWE 2K22, Patch 1.17, has been released earlier this week on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam PC.

The patch released on August 23rd, 2022, Addresses Create a Superstar stability, AI adjustments and improvements, AI adjustments, And online stability for WWE 2K22.

Gameplay Adjustments

Addressed reported concerns regarding warping issues when a reversal is triggered
Addressed reported concerns regarding Superstars getting stuck on cage wall on reversals
Addressed reported concerns regarding clipping and floating during gameplay
Addressed reported concerns regarding animations not syncing
Addressed reported concerns regarding instances where the AI stops attacking opponent on the cage
Addressed reported concerns regarding the AI entering an idle state when going Backstage
Addressed reported concerns regarding instances where the signature meter wasn’t being consumed when executing a signature move
Addressed reported concerns regarding the AI remaining idle on the ground
Addressed reported concerns regarding blood being applied to the attacker during a match
Addressed reported concerns regarding damage not being applied to some moves
Addressed reported concerns regarding some moves being spammed to exploit wins online
Addressed reported concerns regarding instances where the AI wasn’t attacking with a weapon vs a grounded opponent
Addressed reported concerns regarding instances where “move thief” was failing to trigger
Addressed reported concerns regarding instances where Superstars can climb on top of another Superstar during a Cage Match
Ronda Rousey’s entrance theme can now be reapplied to Ronda Rousey after a change
Addressed reported concerns regarding the Smackdown! Referee Attire not appearing when selected

Online Adjustments

Addressed reported concerns regarding custom images not displaying properly in online matches.
Improved stability in online lobbies
Improved stability when downloading and applying custom portraits
Improved stability in Community Creations

Creation Suite Adjustments

Improved overall stability in Create a Superstar
Improved part compatibility in Create a Superstar
Visual condition will now reset when leaving the setting without saving
Second attire slot visuals will now update properly

Additionally, after one of the patches, the option to select "random" attires seemed to have vanished, both on the XBox One and PS5 versions (got rid of the former in favour of the latter); I informed 2k of this AND the arena issue ... typically they ignored me, opting to "fix" things in the list of patches, and focusing on Faction mode

When you've unlocked the Japan arena in MyRise, it's actually not useable in any other game mode.

Also so dumb that the alt attires etc in patches 18 and 19 were only useable for MyFaction and not elsewhere, and the fictional characters you meet in MyRise aren't unlocked like in 2k19 or 20 (eg El Mago and Junior)

Hopefully these are all addressed in 2k23 -- personally I don't have an interest in the CARD TRADING GAME of MyFaction or MyGM, unless they make it with unlockable content to use elsewhere (patches 17 thru 19 were solely for Faction; not everyone played i

As of now universe mode is still crashing I have 99 custom images I redownloadaded and still nothing crazy thing is it all happened just 2 days ago

My championship belts in all my user slots are not existent in my PS4---with the exception of user slot 1. When I save my progress after I create a championship, It doesn't even work. The edit feature doesn't even highlight as it didn't register at all. I still have plenty of space left in my PS4 internal storage, but no matter what championship belts I create, it just won't register. Is there a way to resolve this? This could also lead to another concern if I delete the game from any of the user slots, I would risk losing all the customized characters I created, and I cannot afford to let that happen. If there is a way to finally make some custom championships in all the user slots within my PS4, please let me know. Thank you.

I would like to see changes to we’re the universe mode doesn’t let you finish one of the Universe mode that you have already started it freezes up and doesn’t let you finish it for example I started a universe mode with the undertaker and when I got to wrestlemania it would not let me finish it it froze up on me

  @Antonio Torres No because he signed with WWE after the game came out. Either download him from Community Creations, wait until 2K23, or play an older game with him on the roster.
