This championship is defended exclusively in the state of Jalisco and mostly in the Arena Coliseo Guadalajara of CMLL.

This title is for Light Heavyweight division wrestlers, with weight limit between 87 kg (192 lb) to 97 kg (214 lb)

The Occidente Light Heavyweight Championship was retired on December 31, 2020.
