The Asia Heavyweight Championship was a World Title contested in New Japan Pro Wrestling, by men wrestlers.

The championship was first established on July 26, 1976, and the inaugural champion was Tiger Jeet Singh.

The Asia Heavyweight Championship was retired on April 23, 1981, with the final champion being Tiger Jeet Singh.

A similar championship, the IWGP Championship (original version), has been later introduced, which does not share the lineage with this title.
