To climb a ladder in WWE 2K23, you need to position your Superstar near the ladder and press RB on Xbox, or R1 on PlayStation.
The button to climb a ladder is the same in Ladder and TLC matches.
How to Pick Up, Rotate, and Place a Ladder in WWE 2K23:
To pick up a ladder in WWE 2K23 press LB on Xbox, and L1 on PlayStation.
To place and position a ladder in WWE 2K23, press A on Xbox, and X on PlayStation.
You can lean a ladder on a corner of the ring by pressing A on Xbox, and X on PlayStation.
You can also rotate the standing ladder by Holding L1 + R-direction on PlayStation, and LB + R-direction on Xbox.
How to Perform a Ladder Finisher in WWE 2K23:
To perform a Ladder Finisher in WWE 2K23, you need a finisher slot stored and to be on the top of the ladder with your opponent.
Once you and your opponent are on the top of the ladder, press RT + A on Xbox, or R2 + X on PlayStation to perform a ladder finisher in WWE 2K23.
Performing a ladder finisher requires a Ladder Finisher assigned in Create-A-Moveset.

You can set up a ladder bridge between the ring and the announce table by pressing RT + LB in the area where you grab objects from under the ring.
Other Notes on Ladders in WWE 2K23:
- You still cannot perform a finisher move jumping from the top of the ladder with your opponent on the ground (like a Frog Splash)
- You can select up to 6 Ladders in the weapon wheel in an Extreme Rules match.
- You can not add ladders in the Hell in a Cell match
- Weapon taunts have been introduced in WWE 2K23, however, you can not taunt with a ladder.
