GLEAT is a Indie and Shoot Style pro wrestling promotion based in Tokyo, Japan, operating at a Regional level.
The GLEAT promotion was founded on August 20, 2020 by Hiroyuki Suzuki & Kiyoshi Tamura.
Upon selling its majority ownership stake of Pro Wrestling Noah to CyberAgent, LIDET Entertainment looked elsewhere to invest in professional wrestling. When company president Hiroyuki Suzuki consulted MMA/puroresu star Kiyoshi Tamura to develop a new promotion, the two would announce the formation of GLEAT. A multi-branded project which would draw on three fight styles: professional wrestling, UWF-I inspired shoot style, and MMA — similar to an unrelated predecessor in Smash.
Among its roster, GLEAT hosts veterans from various puroresu promotions, from Dragon Gate to AJPW, and is known for rather eclectic cards and bookings. As a project, GLEAT continues the process of finding its identity, and continues to host moderate numbers in venues such as Korakuen Hall and Shinjuku FACE.
