Wrestling International New Generations was a Indie and Hardcore pro wrestling promotion based in Tokyo, Japan.
The WRESTLING INTERNATIONAL NEW GENERATIONS promotion was founded on June 21, 1991 by Kazuyoshi Osako, Kiyoshi “Mickey” Ibaragi, & Victor Quiñones, and it ceased operations on December 11, 2001.
In 1991, Wrestling International New Generations (W*ING) formed as a breakaway company from FMW, luring away talent such as their top heel, Mr. Pogo, booker Kiyoshi “Mickey” Ibaragi, and representative Kazuyoshi Osako. They would be closely partnered with the World Wrestling Council, due to their connection with manager Victor Quiñones.
W*ING gained a reputation for being even more violent than FMW, hosting deathmatches with stipulations utilizing fire, spike nail boards, and barbed wire ropes. Because of financial mismanagement, W*ING would close less than three years after the first show on August 7, 1991, but from 1995 to 2001 would host branded reunion shows. In 2001, Mr. Pogo formed an offshoot promotion, named World W*ING Spirit (WWS).
